R&R people will not realise they have a massive problem until, fans / members demand it. That the board then listen to those fans, members. Even right now there are still an enormous amount of "i'll just call them fans for ease of a description" that believe the R&R are doing a great job, and it's just bad luck we are not sigining these players.
I'll say it again, it dosnt need sackings or instability, I'm quite happy for them to educate the R&R on how to get a deal done. That could take numerous forms, that we've discussed previously. It dosnt matter if i think Barnett was worth whatever or that he was too old, what matters that if we trust our coach, he wanted Barnett and the club didn't get it done again.
Bluey, I probably wouldn't agree is has anything to do with bad luck, unfortunately. I want to look like Chris Hemsworth with my own Singo-helicopter, but it probably ain't going to happen any time soon.
haha, i was being polite and underselling with the bad luck statement. The helicopters, well that really could of been achievable, having a background in choppers going back to the 90's. The club could have offered helicopter transport for Mitch each week from Parramatta to Taree. Cost $3500 - $6000 a trip. Bundle all that up into some type of corporate use for the club and the board with a retainer, a deal for say 10 trips per year, not salary capped but somehow linked with corporate use, that would of cost $35k - $60K. Making Mitch's trips back to Taree every fortnight ish during the season more palatable and easy. The cost in this scenario probably insignificant to the organisation. But wow what a way to travel up the coast to get home and the speed second to none. Not to mention making Barnett feel like a wanted superstar.
By chopper it's 1hr - 1.3hr From Parramatta to Taree flight time.
Brisbane to Taree would be 3.5hrs which would need an extra fuel stop on the way. Depending on how long it would take for a fuel stop / re fueling. Can be done in 15minutes may take 1 hr extra.
Barnett spoke in the media about how Brisbane suited him in past weeks. Not shocked he went there at all.
So who did Warriors get in the swap deal? Can't see anyone named at all.
what really irks me is that we've publically stated what that we were willing to trade our by far best prospective outside back and put samrani out there for zilch...so hope it was just media speculation on Samrani!
Get back to keeping quiet Parra that was one of our past best attributes in a shallow pool of recruitment wins!!
"What if Ryles brings it up? Arthur surely would have as the failed Smith-Shields signing he was livid.
If Ryles mentions it surely they'll listen if another coach speaks up. Ryles surely has to be livid."

Muttman, I'll answer that, if that's okay.

Good point. How much are the helicopter trips to and fro Brisbane, out of curiosity?

Based on that anything from $12,500 to $21,000.

Its no coincidence that the news to destabilise the eels came out two days before the Broncos game, and this news today.

Macy, don't believe all the nonsense you hear in the media or here. The alleged Samrani swap deal was utter bollocks.
I think the swap deal was more aligned to him coming straight across and starting now.
