The Courier Mail journalist Peter Badel was left disappointed by Moses’ media opportunity.
On Tuesday night’s episode of NRL360, Badel took a swipe at the Eels star.
“Just another snore fest from Mitch Moses,” Badel said.
“Every time he does a press conference he never has a crack, he’s quite rude to the journos, he snaps back at them.
“That’s just my opinion but every time I see him do a press conference, he’s surly about something.”
The Daily Telegraph’s Dave Riccio added: “I don’t know what Mitch is hiding. What’s the big deal?
“If Parramatta were currently in the finals race and he didn’t want to uspset his teammates and talk about a future player - totally understand. With Parramatta’s current position I would think every Parramatta fan would like a little bit of hope about what their captain thinks of the new signing?”

He is obligated to talk to these nobodies. He is just doing what he has to to avoid getting fined.
In the words of Marshawn Lynch: "I'm just here so I won't get fined."
But Mitch was clear. Luai is a next year situation. It doesn't impact our game against the Panthers. Journos getting upset that Mitch won't answer their dumb questions just makes it clear the journos only care about themselves.
I don't really care what Mitch thinks right now. I'm more concerned with how he performs on the field tomorrow night.
And I don't think he was rude at all. He answered the same question about 6 times and told them he wasn't saying anything any further. It's not his job to provide them a headline. That's their job.
I'm a big fan of Moses, but I often find him a bit boring to listen to during these pressers. Almost mechanical or rehearsed. I think he needs to show a bit more personality and flair.
I'm not sure whether he's had media training to help him better manage his public image.

What you've described regarding him being rehearsed is actually the media training at work. Journos are coming in with a story virtually decided. As you saw their story was about Moses and Luai.
Moses took the air out of it, so they have pivoted to go after him.

@Mitch seems like a very very boring dude . As a kid I'd bet he had all of his toys still in the boxes .
I dunno , but he just gives me the introvert guy kinda vibe that frowns upon anything remotely classed as bloke type behaviour . Would he be engaging as a captain ? Dunno . He has attributes you would find in a good captain , but also comes accoss as someone the playing group may poke fun at behind his back.

it's the height of rudeness to keep asking a question someone has said they are not answering
in fact I would say that is classic bullying what they did and in any other job a complaint would be put to their employers
