Bad News re: Hayne

So, long story short, I know Jarryd's father's wife through a friend and I have her on Facebook and as I was going through my nightly relaxation method of checking Facebook I came across a wall post that she had commented on referring Hayne being ruled out of origin. It was a simple "sorry to hear he's out" sort of scenario but I wanted to see what she had commented. Further down in the comments, the woman asked how he was going and her response was that it would be another 6 weeks for him to recover because he actually tore his tendon and not his ligament like originally suspected. This, of course explains why the recovery has been so much more difficult and lengthy.

So overall, this absolutely sucks. But I really really question why his actual injury wasn't told to the public? Why not make a statement warning the eels and blues fans that he was going to be out for quite some time. I mean, 6 more weeks when he was suspected to be back for Monday's game? I don't get it.

Thoughts?

  • Funny that, i seen him jogging half pace n then getting into his brand new $300,000 Range Rover, yesterday!!
    • Well you must be seeing things because a Range Rover Evoque does not cost $300 000! Fully loaded with every option about $120k, 99% hit the road under $95K. Or you are a 3 X BS factor person. (By the way it is; "I saw him" or "I have seen him")
(My team puts me in a foul mood)
  • Well like Hindy said in his book teams usually try to cover up a serious injury to a good player to prevent panic. Hindy himself had a pretty serious foot injury but the team doctor just told Brian Smith to tell the media it was a hamstring strain and he'll be right in a week or two when he actually needed surgery. It's normal for teams to want to keep some form of secrecy concerning injuries.

  • Good old TeleCrap said he is a slight chance of playing this week.Whether you believe them or not is another story

  • Injuries happen mate unfortunatley!! We aint going to say oh sorry Jarrod we dont want you because you get injured.Part & parcel..suck it up and live with it!!!
  • Mate like I said injuries happen.Do you think Hayne likes being injured? Its part of the game and EVERY side has to deal with it.Seriously man have you got ANY idea!
  • No mate its not a crush... its because he deserves the respect. He has been our number player for years now and is a freak when it comes to rugby league! The poor bugger gets some injuries and your all over him like a rash. You support yr teams players through good and bad, especially one of our best. Its guys like you that rubbish Hayne, but see him on the street and your "oh haynsey oh haynsey" supporter?? pfft dont support through the good if u dont do it through tha bad!
  • Mate yr blog about putting him to lock tells me its a waste of time talking footy with you so i wont waste my time! That and the fact that you can sit there and bag a player of haynes ability tells me what sort of supporter you are! Especially from a guy that most likely the closest he will ever get to playing footy is sitting on his recliner with his coke bottle glasses and bagging players! The team doesnt need supporters like you PAL!!!
  • Cmon Man you got some sort of mancrush on ME?? you do know you can get such things as restraining orders??

Ive said what ive wanted to say bro...move on!!!
  • He said all that in an interview on the parra eels website
