Are we still a chance for the spoon?

With all these injuries (including no Norman), and the halves pairing of Joseph Paulo and Luke Kelly, are we still in the running for the spoon? I'm tempted to put money on it to get something good out of this year.

  • always. ecspecially now.
  • Not likely I'd say but never give up hope.

  • If we lose EVERY game, the Tigers have to win twice. They have;

    Roosters (h)

    Storm (h)

    Raiders (a)

    Knights (h)

    Sharks (a)

    Warriors (h)

    Dragons (a)

Can only see them possibly beating Knights. We should at least beat Titans which means Tigs have to win 3.

    Highly unlikely

    • The tigers will have a strong chance of beating the sharks and warriors so I wouldn't get too confident.
  • Since 2010 the team with the most losses finished on 14 points, except in 2011 and 2012 where they finished on 16 points. We're already on 18 points so going on recent history we're in the clear.

  • Possibly but i think we've done enough to avoid it.
  • No I think the titans or Newcastle will get it

    • Knight played well against the raiders, even though they lost, and played even better against the titans. I think they are getting on a bit of a roll and they will probably finish above us.

  • Short answer. YES!
  • We can possibly get the spoon but considering Titans tigers and knights I doubt it

I see Keon's price as irrelevant (within reason), because he is an absolute no brainer for the Eels.

Paulo was fantastic last season, though, he’s fighting the clock & Keon is a perfect replacement longer term.

He seems to suit JR’s preference…"
