The Parramatta Eels are pleased to announce that emerging outside back Araz Nanva has extended his contract with the club for a further year and will be elevated to the Top 30 squad for the 2027 NRL season.
An Eels junior, Nanva’s extension comes on the back of a strong pre-season and his NRL debut last week.
Parramatta Eels GM of Football Mark O'Neill praised Nanva’s development and dedication.
“Araz has worked hard during the pre-season with his attitude and performance and bought in to the Club culture.
“To make his debut in Round 6 was a well-deserved reward, and we’re excited to see how he continues to develop. He’s a talented outside back who understands what it means to represent this club, and we’re pleased to have him locked in for 2027 as part of our Top 30.”
The Eels look forward to supporting Nanva’s continued development as he establishes himself at NRL level.

Good one to keep hey EA
I like him, with Russell going there is a chance for him to get a full-time spot but also good depth to come in and do a job.
I honestly see him being a very similar player to Russel.
He is quiet a well rounded player. No glaring weakness but also doesn't have that elite skill or attributes. He is only 22 to be fair. He is definitely worthy as a depth outside back but if he was to be my starting centre, I would hope that someone else in the backline is elite.
From my understanding the Eels top 30 for next year is currently 22 players:
Lorenzo and Fletcher are on development deals. Lorenzo will join the top 30 in 2028.
Russel, Twiddle, Pezet are leaving the club and I would say Matterson as well.
That leaves the following players off-contract:
Wonder who the club want to keep. I would say D Walker is a must and apparently the club is already in talks with Paulo.
EA, I havnt seen anywhere from the club that confirms Will Pensini. Am i missing something.
The club havent confirmed it but I do definitely remember in a press conference he said he is with the club till 2028. He said it last year. Surely he would not be BS about that. It is very strange.
I am letting Tuilagi, Tago and JDB leave for sure.
JDB will get a coaching spot for I reckon he'll retire
More likely at the Dragons I recon with Flanno gone.
