ANZ for 3 years??

Our records not the best at ANZ, guess it's time to learn to win there as it looks like it will be our home while the new stadium is built.

  • our record at Pirtek has been shocking this year also.... 2 wins from 6 or 7 games this year. I was looking over our draw last night.

  • We have had a better away record this year better than pirtek.
  • ANZ stats don't mean shit when you field rubbish teams, next year should be different.
Plus look at the coaches we've had.
    • I still can't believe we signed hagan, that was the worst thing to ever happen to our club, that lazy so and so undid all the good Brian Smith did.
    • Nothing wrong with Hagan. He didn't have much to work with. It was the 2 of the muppets after him that killed us (Kearney & Stuart).

Hagan is the brains behind the QLD dynasty. Everyone knows he is the tactical coach, Mal is just the figurehead and media man
    • I tend to agree with Kurupt there is a good reason why he is not a head coach anywhere
  • Hagan was quite easy going with the players. He had an attitude of not sweating the small stuff. The sun would still rise tomorrow. This was a major, I mean major, shift in philosophy from Smith. Even though Taylor was an interim coach in between, many players could not handle such a radical shift. The on field performances were ok, but the rot started to set in at training.
  • Kidding right, Hagan started the lazy parra rot.
He didn't win games in Newcastle, Johns did.
He is no mastermind, qld is winning off the back of JT and Smith, with an all star team, the guy is a passenger. Also helps having Langer on the field for most of the game.
He is probably a nice guy, nothing personal against him, but he is a dud coach, along with the other two.
    • Mate, he is a very nice bloke. I had the opportunity to speak with him at a league function when he had just been appointed as coach at Parramatta. He gave me a considerable amount of his time and we discussed his intentions regarding a couple of Paaramatta players. What impressed me was the genuine and candid way that he spoke to me as a supporter. In the scheme of things, as supporters we express views with bias, both positive and negative. We try to be objective but our perspective is still coloured. His manner was one of genuine interest in my opinions, whether he was simply being polite or not.later that year he corresponded with me about Parramatta's on field efforts.
As for his coaching, I would describe him as not being a good fit for Parramatta at the time. The last thing that we needed at the time was the polar opposite to Smith. I believe that he learned a lot about himself during his time at Parra. What he probably learned was that being in charge of a modern football team was not the best idea for him.
  • I thought the same thing yesterday - oh shit!
Arthur will have pulled off something special if he can turn around our team next year, and get us up the top of the ladder, given the added pressure of Anz stadium! Over to u champ!

"It was. Mainly because Read came off as a total fuckwit. While it's nice to see (most of) the media on our side in this case, it;s really hard not to be."
