Anyone else lose faith

I'm not talking about eels I'm talking about our stupid recruitiment and retention team.Like how can a group be so fcken stupid, surely we can petition to get em out of the club cause they fcken suck.Like you look at all the other clubs signing guns for good money then there's our stupid club who are "playing strategically "ITS NOT WORKING OUT FCK THE PLAYING STRATEGICALLY and go all out fmd.

Anytime I see eels connected to a player I instantly lose hope cause there's 0 chance of us even getting him even a reserve grade player we can chuck a mil at and they still won't come.Fck anyone here can do a better job then those idiots.

  • Have no faith long time ago. We have the money bit we can't get (buy) what we want. We are always left holding the proverbial empty bag because our R&R people maybe don't know how to convince and sell to targetted players the visions that will entice them to join us. They are only successful in signing players that other clubs do not want. Unless we change the people in our R&R personnel, then we will never be a top 8 team that may have a chance winning a Premiership.

    • Ryles is part of the R and R so without a doubt his finger prints are on the recruitment of the players no doubt in my mind here.He will have a list of players who potentially are available and it's upto that team to secure the given talent.

If you didn't know by now chief JR is running Parra football him and Nathan Brown especially the latter have a big hand in the pathways development.

Now what has to happen here is they need an adjustment tactically about how there going about there recruitment.1 STFU in the media space about who they are after don't say a farken thing.Let the farkers speculate but when it comes to recruitment STFU and keep your cards close to your chest.

Reason being you have plausible deniability if anyone asks why you did or didn't land a certain player to fans or those fleas in the media.Be more tactical be years ahead plant seed to managers 1-2 years before a given target is coming off.IMO this is where recruitment is falling down we are to much of an open book. With more teams in the hunt for talent there going to need at minimum TPAs and after market football opportunities what ever that looks like without the last mentioned it's a wrap because everyone is on that train why we aren't fark knows.

I see the kid they recruited out of HS in Wgtn is now at the Dragons 😂 oh dear talent identification fail there I think EA Dru Faleatolu any comment there ?

Stsrt looking further and wider for talent a lot of clubs are why aren't we.There's shit loads we can do to help ourselves shitloads we need to start acting and acting now.

      • That player from Wellington hasn't played a single game of SG ball lol

        • Looooooool i forgot we even had him.

        • Hes playing flegg for st george lol

  • I'm a believer, we haven't overpaid or offered an excessive contract term on any player since BA got the boot. We removed a lot of dead wood and signed a lot of young up and coming talent. Numerous players are delivering good value relative to their salary at this point in time and I think we've got a solid plan in place with internal development.

    • Keen for your take on who is delivering good value relative to their salary. I would struggle to name many to be honest.

Remember all teams have the same salary cap so our team is paid as much as the Panthers.

      • Smith, Russell, Williams, addo Carr, Tuivita, walker off the top of my head

    • I'm with you to a point I'm looking at other teams development and what we are producing so far and I'm far from convinced it's any better than anyone else.

I mean it was on show on the weekend who would you have Russell or Maclean

      Tuivaiti or Lindsay Smith

      Guymer or Martin

This is what we are up against as examples.

Im all for development all for it but is it as good or any better than anyone else on what I've seen so far I'd suggest not.

      • Don't forget one of those juniors (Talagi) playing for Penrith was ours and we couldn't keep him. See him outleap our FB to score a try?
Like you I'm all for juniors. And we have brought through a pretty decent crop lately but it's not earth shattering by any stretch. And one of our best left.
Development isn't merely developing local juniors it's about bringing the best juniors from around the country into our system. Hindmarsh, Lyon, PJ Marsh, Burt etc. Are we doing that or are we crossing our fingers that boys born in Kellyville will be the next Dally Messenger?
This squad needs rep level quality in tandem with developing debutants. We're not getting it done in any metric in R&R.
