    Everyone would go hard for Haas but would you pay $1.5 plus for Haas? In a position that has ware and tear like Prop. If Ryles managed to get Haas I mean cartwheels of course but everyone will want Haas, if he wants money he will demand higher, if he wants a title not sure he would come to us at this stage.
    
    We have cap space for it.

Something going on with manly and tigers they've basically swapped players the last few years 😂 I don't really see much changing for manly unless they buy some middles.

  Their middles are ageing. They are heading for a rebuild as the Trbojevic brothers and DCE move on and have money. Difference is they will buy most of the players they want.

650k a year for a backup hooker who cant tackle. With purchases like these manly are heading for the bottom of the table. What ridiculous money for an untired player. We need a hooker that can transition to lock. That would be ideal.

    I honestly don't think we were trying to sign him @ 650k. I meant that at this stage of his career his a backup. He has not proven himself to be a start. He may never be a starter. Loads of good young hooker with potential. On top of that you can convert fb and halves to play hooker. JR likes playersthat are multi skilled.

  You really think we would sign him to be a back-up Darren? We weren't signing him with the intent of being a back-up. If we were happy with Smith moving forward we weren't signing him.

  Like Lussik? Agree TDS is a high risk signing. 85% tackle efficiency is very poor for a low minutes hooker.
  
  Ryley Smith has regulary played 80 mins as a rookie and is at 93%.
  
  TDS is not woth $650k.
