Well maybe Ryles is a lot smarter then you. In his recent radio interview he stated the focus right now is locking up internal players.
You have no idear how recruitment, MON and Ryles work together. Bar Galvin who has Ryles gone after hard and missed out on. NONE.

Says you who says Smith is better yet going for Da Silva, Ryles is smarter than you too then if he thinks we need improvement over Smith wouldn't you say?. He's been going for a Hooker for a while now, he said on SEN he is interested, how interested we don't truly know but still interested enough to not go 100% in with Smith.
I trust Ryles in what he is doing, though you and others are saying good we are not overpaying for talent yet many abused us when we lost those players in 2022 due to low balling them. They stood up to those managers then looking for bigger deals.
But at the same time we have no clue who else we are after either, De Belin came out of nowhere with no mention of going for him. But also missing out on those other clubs go for.
