According to manly forum read earlier , tartak had gone back to manly and had then counter their initial offer , so looks like he got them to offer much more and had screwed them over
Mate why is everyone complaining about our beloved club. Apparently a rumour is going around that DB is trying to get out of the richest deal in history to stay in blue and gold. Isn’t that something to crow about. Oh wait!
And knowing MON, if its true, DB would most likely be getting an upgrade from the Knights contract with Player options every 6 weeks
Seriously though something that always irks me with this club. Why can all of the fans see that there blatantly is a problem: BA was a problem, BA's nepotism was a problem, different players at times were a problem and now we all agree that MON is a problem but the dopes that run the club can't. They'll drag their feet until we can't attract any new talent before they realise they have to act. Hang on we're already at that point.
Poor JR having to deal with all the fuckwits in the front office. Remember where Jack Gibson said it all starts at and it's a fact that a fish in the sun always rots from the head first.
Hopefully Ryles has the balls to rattle the cages. BA sort of toed the line, Ryles simply needs to do opposite. No point if he is sacked in 4 years after poor performances, if they don't like it so be it.
According to some on here BA ran the show. Id say dink and doink are afraid of Ryles becoming a BA 2.0, they'll try and hold on to as much control as possible. Will that help JR get anywhere? Probably not. He'll be scapegoated to save their own skins
I mean look, BA same with Ryles will have final say. De Belin would not have just been thrown onto him but at same time doubt Ryles had him as first choice either. I did believe BA needed to go as he was not getting results from his coaching anymore but at the same time losing the players in 2022 did not help. 2023 MON just threw all these projects at him and it was too much at once. He bought 5-6 projects with only one of them being at the club past 2024, that being Hopgood.
They kept BA as long as possible as they didn't know any better as they had never gone through the process of sacking a coach. Plus came in when BA got them going for some time.
Ryles on the other hand is their hire, if he doesn't work they are under more scrutiny therefore he will be gone sooner if no results.
Some here are saying who cares but when you have so much money in the cap and struggle to sign players it is a concern. PNG might have better luck at this rate. If Ryles kept the likes of RCG, Matto, Lane, Ofahengaue etc and had them see out their deals while still playing and we free up cap as we go and sign a player or two as we develop juniors around the experience then fair not signing players, it would be tedious but fair.
Instead went with getting rid of all the deadwood quick and have money to spend and cannot spend it. If we want to spend it well, we cannot wait we need someone new in ASAP. Issue is that wont happen. I reckon if you ask most GM's would you want up to $4mil in cap space and perhaps $2mil the following year? Most if not all would say that is the dream.
And then would those GM/ coaches run out and spend that 4 million because some fan with zero knowledge on the cubs recruitment plans says so. Thank fuck your not running recruitment.
Ryles is a whole lot smarter then you. He has a big goal, to win a premiership. He knows to do that you need a foundation, culture, attack and defence programs and LASTLY a playing roster that wants to be at Parramatta and have buy in. Sounds a bit better then your spend 4 million plan.
The board is 100% behind Jason Ryles and his staff, but not all the fans are. And Ryles isn't listening to some bitch fan winging why we aren't buying players.
Jason Ryles has a four year contract with the Eels and is steadily turning this club in the right direction. The way the Eels are playing is awesome, they are giving 100% on the paddock. As Ryles said his team is not the finish product yet. I think Ryles has a plan and a time frame to turn Parramatta into a powerhouse club into the future.
By the way apart from Galvin who were these awesome players Ryles and MON went hard for and missed. Da silver looked less then ordinary last night, might have dodged a bullet there.
Graham did I once say anything against Ryles? Or just read some what I say and put 2 and 2 together with what you think is happening? I am also not saying anything in terms of his smarts, I have always backed Ryles.
I mentioned Ryles keeping those players etc but more saying that as if they went that way so be it but didn't an freed up cap etc. But I'm knocking those higher up. If you read my posts which it seems you have since you are the newest person to be keeping an eye on me it seems you would see I have knocked Ryles. But keep that thought process if you like.
You said in another post we need a Centre. I feel we don't and Penisini extended with talk it will be further so Ryles seems to disagree, he knows more than you it seems I guess too? And Da Silva looked ordinary yet caught the eye of Ryles, he knows better so back his judgement of wanting him. You said we need a 5/8, prop and couple of edge forwards. Firstly how do you know Ryles feels we need that if that's your way of thinking? But in all seriousness we have money to do that and there is a high chance that is the reason they got rid of players how he did in order to get what he wants quickly and have money too to keep players here like Iongi who will want a big upgrade in a years time
I was saying Ryles is doing great but can those above get him what he needs? And if you didn't realise we need to spend close if not all that $4mil on the cap as per rules so you would like them to spend it wisely, I trust Ryles can but can those get him what he needs? Or will make do with what given?
Ryles knows more than me and everyone here, as did BA and frankly MON does as well.
Isnt JG dead? Who cares what he said.
