              • His going to manly where he is close to Steve hales assistant coach Wayne lambkin and Troy Weeden head of recruitment. All these people coached him at Westfields sports since he was 13 yrs old.

      • 🤣🤣Seriously though do you think they will sack MON at the end of the year or keep him going. The only big name signing he made in the last 7 years was Zac Lomax and before that RCG. The rest of the signings that were really good we developed them when the Eels were winning. Quite embarrassing for the Eels though, they are always favourites according to Fox

        • MON is like a koala. Smooth brained and a protected species. The only way he is out is if he gets promoted out. Hell the Tigers didnt even want him back and left their equivalent role vacant rather than hire the nitwit

      • It's a simple answer, he has no competition for the hooking role at Manly, he did say he wants to be a starter.

        • What we were signing him to compete with Smith? Let's be fair if we felt Smith was good enough just leave Smith as is and Coinakis when ready can compete or get another young Hooker next year.

Manly have Croker and Simpkin there but Da Silva is the future 9 but Ryles was bringing Da Silva in as the future and would give him the chance quick. He may have went back and forth with Smith and Da Silva this year starting and bench but unless Smith had an almighty pre-season Da Silva would start 2026, why would he go for him if Smith was in the plans as Hooker?

    • Thanks for the shout out LB.

I remember the flack I copped when I said the CoE wasnt the drawcard that some on here were trying to spruik it as. Since its opened how many how many players have been signed from other teams? Im not including resigning or upgrading...

Unfortunately, the Eels are going to be a team to make up numbers for the league, we'll never be seen as a destination club

      • Dude i am one to debate and go against certain beliefs. But i also am one to call back on those who either were proven right or their point i turn to agree with. I think that is very important to do.

      • Anyone who believes that blokes on upwards of half a million bucks a year are going to be impressed by a fancy public facility to watch their replays on and use the gym , are off their heads. These guys have this shit in their holiday houses, neverlone their own homes.

Not to mention our Centre Of Eggs is out in the Hay Plains somewhere.   What we need is an upgraded club, one with accomodation, cafes , restaurants , rooftop bars etc. I'm not talking a tiny bowling alley and crappy sports bar that is smaller than my mancave , I'm talking an indoor city / mini Crown Casino. When a player tours they are drawn to the venue and want to experience it. Last time I was at our club , I walked in , went yo to Sterlos , had a 5 minute look around , went and took a piss and couldn't get out quick enough from boredom.

        • Aren't they doing something like that? Can't actually remember what the redevelopment project had in it.

"Not necessarily I'd say he needs a full offseason training in that position. If we throw him in there now for the rest of the season may kill his confidence. His chance will come but it's good he's getting little tastes of first grade in his first…"

"Without Moses that becomes a hard argument really. Joash and Hawkins did a great job last week, but ideally you want some experience in the halves."
