We will go for Ponissi, become favourites and 11th hour Perth swoop in and get him.
Isnt signing ryley smith, an eels jnr, as our 9, doing exactly what you are complaining about?
Is he an eels jnr?
It gets harder and harder to try and be devils advocate for this mob.
Those defenders or supporters are getting their hands tied more and more. It's not missing Da Silva, it's we keep missing in general.
Distressing news. Is MON the final guy that these players & managers speak to before making their decisions to joint the Eels or not. With MON's very poor batting average of getting the players Parra wants, I reckon he really need to go.
We're not even asking for like 10 quality signings every season like the Dogs always get. All we want is like 1 or 2 high quality signings and they MON still can't even manage that. Hands down I dont think there is a more worse general manager than him. Now they gave up looking for 6 and just want to play Joash who is 5 foot 5 and has barely played five eight. I wonder what Mitchell Moses thinks about that as his halves partner.
He thinks least I only have to play 6 games with him next year..
I said it last week, the only way there will be change with MON is Ryles saying to the higher ups he needs someone bigger, they are not going to make the change themselves. The bloke looked at the Wests job in 2023, not like he is loyal himself.
Issue though is do you trust Beach and the likes to hire the right one?
Woolies manager didn't work what about Coles?
Want to make a splash I would respect them going from Matt Cameron or someone like that to just spear head the footy department with Ryles. Issue also on top of that is the longer this goes the less time a new GM would have to do anything for 2026 and with Perth able to start getting players less will be on the market.
Ryles shouldn't have to, it's not his job nor should he worry but he needs to rattle the cages to get someone better, surely he is not just accepting this and saying oh well. BA even had these issues, Aaron Schoupp and Harley Smith-Shields we couldn't even get over the line.
I don't think he would want to play half a game each week and share with Smith so I never thought he would come here in the first place
If he was to share with Smith why go for him in first place? I think at first that might happen then in 2026 it is Da Silva's role.
