Im by no means excusing it. Its pure stupidity what he did.
Yeah he should know better, but dont forget Ezra had the off season Bali incident too. He should have known better as well. Im just saying that there would be a case against a NRL termination if the club decided he is worth defending.
I heard on one of the morning talkback shows this morning that they are awaiting the result of his second test and that the roadside test was positive. Whether it was contact testing or an actual swab test, who knows. No idea how accurate that is, just sharing what I heard.
I would guess if he admits he has a problem and seeks help, he might keep his contract, whereas if he continues to deny it like he did at the Bulldogs, then see ya later

We need him and like me , I think people were happy the season was done and we could default to our happy place of thinking next seasons a new season and just maybe we could spend the next few months being semi positive like we had some kind of hope . It's easy to focus on what he's done here and there's no doubt he's done a very stupid, stupid thing. I think before making a decision on whether to sack him or not I think it's important to take stock of what good he brings to the club. I'm not on the inner circle so I can only go on what I see but he has been an important on field leader with his communication on the edge which has no doubt been helpful to Russell and samrani. He also brings a lot of energy to the team. He seems to be always laughing and enjoying himself which always brings positive energy to a team environment. It's also important to take note of what he does or has done in the community. These things should be considered when making a decision
If it was the first time all that would be a factor. Its his second time. 12 weeks suspension mandatory so he is a passanger for half the season anyway. We have to scramble and look at who we can get at short notice. We cant expect elite. Can only hope we can find someone that can do a job. Sloan is the obvious candidate if he can getout of his SL contract.
