Not need to swear BM, I agree in principle but we need to take the high ground away and make a defense and the case that we will stick by him.....announce that the club is supportive of his retention and technically the season is over for Parramatta players.
We will be putting Josh on a rehabilitation process and explaining that he has certain responsibilites that we require. In the interim we will allow the public's interest to be addressed by the appropriate authorities, after which we will deal with these matters with the rehab process taking precedence over any club discipline.
And if he drives on drugs again and kills or injures someone ? Where does that leave the club from a marketing perspective ?
Im no angel , but even I don't do stupid shit like this , not once but twice that he's been caught now. We look silly as an organisation and if it is in our policies then it's not about whether we need him as a player or not , he's gone. Or we may as well fold the policy's up and bin them and have a free for all.
I know we need him , I'd be happier if it never got out and the club just swept it under the carpet. But the big picture is , we are a business with policies , sponsors and contracts that need to be followed . If it were just a positive test , you could brush it. He'll be sacked , no rehab supplied , no hand holding , no special treatment , as per whatever is written in his contract will unfortunately be executed. Which I'm sure has a very strict no drug driving rule. Only thing that may save him is if we were a bit more lenient when he signed his new agreement compared to his last one.
Imagine earning 10 grand a week , having hundreds of cuzzies that idolise you who'd drinks you around , amd being such a dumb khunt not to get a Uber or driver. The cops would have his car flagged as a potential drug driver and all. Not an ounce of sympathy. Yeah mate , it's disappointing as I like JAC , he does more for the club than just play footy. He's a uplifting personality for crew no doubt, but not penalising him sufficiently here will set a bad example. But the NRL need to back the club and run him out. Second time for driving under the influence is cooked.
we can't sit here and post about how we expect and demand more from the clubs staff and management and then give the players a pass to act like complete fuckwits.
Again , I've got zero issues with players hitting the bags in the offseason. But hire an Airbnb , a few hookers and party until pre season for all I care . You drive around , you're at the mercy of the rules.

Can't disagree with anything said....just hope for a miracle result, what is the test results percentages on the second check.....from what I gather happens in Qld is that the drug control people seem to fcuk up regularly, any chance of their NSW counterparts being on the same train (no pun intended).
So easy to get an uber if you are on that type of gear and it would be a non issue haha. Just plain stupid really
