Eels recruitment combined with Ryles seriously need to start getting some reasonably good players especially in some forwards, centre and now halves otherwise the premiership drought is going to continue onwards for who knows how long.
I reckon some of the ovals are in poor condition and / or overused which is contributing to players injuries
Well that origin training feild in the mountains is just a school oval. It was a swamp during origin 1 training. Fark all drainage Million dollar players training on that crap. Kellyville park would have been 100 x better.
It's no wonder players pick up injuries.
The NFL clubs would have pulled players straight off if it happened there. Farking amateur hour.
Pathetic for a $billion sporting code
The NRL give dispensation for injuries that occur through representative fixtures but I beleive it's capped and you have to miss 12 games .
They probably need to look at that over a more prolonged period on a rolling basis.
Mitch has now missed a substantial amount of footy because of origin over the last year and a half, because it's not 12 games consecutively Parra don't receive squat.
If your injured in representative football clubs should be compensated on a per game basis.
Clubs would look to rort of course they always do, but it's the club and fans who pay the price for rep injuries and need to be compensated accordingly.
I tell you what. Katoa has been amazing recently. He could already be the second best halfback in the NRL at the age of just 21.
To be fair the forward pack he is playing with has been great. Strike centre and backrower. A speedster fullback.
