As I do every year, I review Parramatta's season. This year it was a very tough one as a Parramatta fan. We had the worst injury toll of every club but some of the performances this year were still no doubt below the standard we want. If you want to watch the review then feel free, the link is down below. Please keep the comments respectful though.

All the rhetoric not the least Braith Anasta, Pezets manager said on 360 last year when he was signed, that it was an amazingly low contract and he is doing it for the experience. Parra got him very cheap.
My guess and nobody really knows it was probably around 250/300 and definetly nothing like 650k. What do you think we signed Volkman for?
Hence my comment "so hardly nothing". I would love to have a decent bet with you Darren but it would be a very hard thing to prove for a lottery ticket LOL who could you confirm with, him, parra, manager? journalists would not have a clue.
No, in our industry at the base levels , you're pretty much paid whatever the role pays , does not matter If you've been here 1 month or 3 years , you're generally paid the same . Some exceptions are made for some higher performers , poached from another company, or longer serving employees will organically be on more due to annual % increase etc , or those who've bounced around various roles collecting increase s along the way ( who are obviously multi skilled accross the business ) , however no, a rookie isn't treated any different.
Peasant was not on a pittance with us either , that's just your version to suit your narrative. You could argue the same about my version , howver the difference is the media and your trusted AI gives me some sources , which is better than your made up version.
We paid peasant top dollar , he was expected to be a very viable soulition. Not a hit and hope. Ryles did Anasta a very very big solid and it cost us over half a million dollars for a total flop.
Read my reply to Darren, as usual you haven't a fcuking clue, you can go back to the 360 commentary from Anasta if you like or ask someone else on here if they saw /heard that comment.
PS AI was not consulted, AI reports what they know from reports like journalists or fcukwits like you that want to compare a "rookie" in the fruit juice business to a rookie in the NRL.
You asked about AI so I went and checked it Wiz, the programme was the 23rd October 2025.
Here is the exact words from AI
PS From Poppa, how bloody lucky were Melbourne!.....equally how unlucky are Brisbane and finally, we got out of jail with Volkman being found in the "wake".
You do realise the speculation was 900k and that's what Anasta was replying too yeah ?
As it was front and centre when I looked at this earlier , on every AI response , I'd suggest you saw that and conveniently left it out. I checked 3 sources and all reference Anastas reply that he was not on the reported 900k . So you couldn't have avoided this information if you tried.
Do better
To be frank that article doesn't nothing but hoist you on your own petard.
You dumbass Andrew Johns said he could command up to 900k, pure speculation in context.....you seem to miss the point that him going to Brisbane on a spec of 750 completely negates that whole argument.
The claim was he is on 600k with us , not 900. Your arguing the imaginary 900 which nobody said he was on. I literally said that Anasta said he wasn't on 900k.
go back and read . I said he was on top dollar , in which for a bloke that's shit , and had only played a bunch of games , he is on top dollar.
BTW , how good was DylBoobs tonight . He cheered like a superstar.
Also, 'bargain' is subjective, the NRL would still have to approve the contract and with what we've seen from PNG, he would still need to be offered a market value for a first grade half back otherwise the contract wouldnt be registered
Pezet is no longer our problem now. He is going to that fortress of happiness, brotherhood and......Madge Maguire. Good luck- you are going to need it in that environment.
