Hopefully we win see some player moment our way now
I'm craving a big signing to freshen up our team
2023 salary cap will be $12.1m
Top 30 cap is $11.45m minimum for top 30 is $120k
Development cap rising from $240k to $650k
How much does the roosters cap increase by?
Alot of deals will be finalised over the next 2 weeks
Not only finalised but created, there will be so much turnover in the next 4 weeks or so
Now i wonder how many players have the "Ratchet Clause" ie: "18% salary cap increase meaning Ratchet clause kicks in and players contract goes up 18% automatically." These Ratchet type contracts will soak up a lot of the extra money.
How much extra do we actually have left to sign others.
Clubs without a lot of Ratchet clauses in players contracts will clean up. Those clubs that negotiated with a lot of Ratchet clauses are hardly any better off.
Wonder which club path we fall under.......
Mitch Moses can now comfortable count the money around and make a decision. T'was the night before xmas, or close enough. I would think his decision is imminent now......
Why would the NRL make the announcement @midday today; just before Xmas?
It's bewildering Axel!
The patients run the asylum!
So they can put their feet up over the break. Its hardwork continually saying No to the players union. Hahahahahahaha
On another note the entire NRLW gets $884K for a game that generates its own income for 24 players. Thats an average $36K a player.
The development squad for NRL teams gets $650K for 6 players or $108K each approx.
Interesting, wonder how long before the women kick up a storm, and rightly so.
