Transgender wants to play Women's AFL

New AFL football boss Steve Hocking has defended the league's handling of transgender footballer Hannah Mouncey's draft eligibility.Hannah Mouncey opens up on transgender athletesVIDEO Transgender athlete Hannah Mouncey opens up about transitioning from male to female while playing sport. Source: YouTube/Hannah MounceyThe league's national selection meeting will be held in Melbourne on Wednesday but clubs won't know if they can pick Mouncey until an announcement is made on Tuesday afternoon. The 190cm, 100kg ruck played eight games for Ainslie in Canberra's women's competition this season and kicked 17 goals.Having previously played for Australia's men's handball team, Mouncey began a gender transition in 2015.Despite having a season of state league football under her belt, the AFL will step in and make a ruling on her eligibility to play at the elite level.Buying property with your SuperESUPERFUND Sponsored"The AFL are just taking their time with it based on the fact there is a range of testing and so forth that Hannah has been put through and been asked to complete, so they can make a thorough decision on it," Hocking told AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday morning."Probably the biggest person in all of this is Hannah herself, so from her point of view, we've got to be mindful of all of that.Hannah Mouncey. • Very pretty, but shouldn't be playing a contact sport like AFL. didn't that happen in the UFC or something.
    • Would never have picked it as a guy .....
    • Is she a hunchback?
  • *shakes head*
What the hell is wrong with this world?
    • Agreed Frank.....this is where the world of equality / gender equality is heading. It’s a joke alright. If he was born male, then so be it, there shouldn’t be any grey area.
  • In other news the boy scouts is now open to girls in the states and soon to be that way here.

Brownies and girl guides wasnt enough for some of these grubs, they put pressure on the scouts movement for years and have just won.

    The worlds gone mad.

    • The end of the world is near.
    • Can scouts join the Girl Guides?

Men can't go to some Female only gyms, and other establishments, but sheilas can go wherever they like and ALL Mens clubs are ILLEGAL.

That said World Tennis many years ago banned a trans thingy whatever it is from competing in Women's tournaments.

      International precedent is set.

    • I don't have problem with it. Good see kids boy or girl doing more activity based things that scouts offer. It not boy scouts anymore in Australia, it is just the scouts and girls can already join.
My nieces love it and makes it easier for my sister have all her kids in the 1 group, especially when on camps and the like she can have all kids away at same time.
