Can't blame the refs for the loss the last night we had plenty of chances to win but couldn't get over the line, but some of the decisions we are copping in games that we end up losing by 1, 2, 4, 6 pts is really starting to get on my goat.
Last night Etu's try IMO should have been benifit of the doubt, the replay did not say without a shadow of a doubt that the ball was knocked on by parramatta.
Hayne was called for a knock on and he didn't even touch the ball inside our own 20, lucky the Dogs didn't score and Hindy later on was called for a knock on that went back again in our 20 and lucky to keep the Dogs out. That all puts added pressure on the team and saps juice out of them for later in the game. I even think the last pass for the Dogs try might have been forward but the camera angle is not inline and it deserved a try anyway as it was just lazy marker defence from us and good play from thier dummy half.
Against Panthers I thought the shot on Etu when he lost the ball could have been a penalty i have seen other similar pulled up for it as his shoulder hit Etu in the head and then the shot by Burns on Etu's head whilst he was half out of it on the ground without warranted a penalty as well. The call at the end of normal time was confusing and i'm getting back into that debate. The refs seem too scared to make a call in extra time as when Burt took a shot at field goal Petero was standing next to the dummy half and was at least 12mtrs off side because he sure as hell wasn't marking.
Now i know we all watch our team more intensely then the other clubs but i watch a fair bit of footy and the only other team that cops simliar calls to us is the Sharks and they too cop it week in week out.
So why are we getting picked on?
What has our club done to cop the raw end of the stick most of the time?
Why is the club not asking questions to the Refs on why we cop some many bad calls?
They can't do it in the media or they get fines $10k which i think is wrong, if the coach/club is right in thier in what they say about the refereeing from thier game then why should they cop a fine for telling the truth? if the they make false claims and are proven that way then yes fine them.
I'm totally over this shit of copping it from the refs week in week out, they give us a few penalites and row to shut us up then make another dozen bad calls against per game.
It's making being a parra fan very stressful and frustrating and taking the enjoyment out of it.
Big wrap to the players for not letting it get to them and lashing out on the field thou, takes a lot of restraint to do that, Hindy and Hayne cop most of the bad calls and both have copped them pretty well on the chin and so has SK, if Brian Smith was still here it would have cost the club $50k by now.
Best of luck next week v the Storm boys.

We cannot get 50/50 calls.
When mates that love giving me shit about the Eels dont do it, it has to be more than one eyed on our part
Am over it big time and glad i like to drink.............lots.
Whether that's due to the lack of consistency across the board from referees, or whether it's more simple than that, and simply a misinterpretation of a rule, who knows?
One thing is for sure though, there have been some shoddy calls both for us, and other teams this year - calls that have effected the outcome of games.
Chargedown!
Anyone else notice when the ball was kicked into Hindmarsh the ref signaled 6 to go & called out charge-down! Not only was Hindy not trying to charge the ball down he wasn't even running towards the kicker - he was running sideways (sorry if ppl are sick of hearing about it but I will never forget that bad call last week)!
ps we only got a penalty tonight because the pocket ref told the other ref the Dogs player who caught the ball was off-side which over-ruled the 6 to go call.

I was waiting for the clock to stop at change overs.
It didn't.
It was only the super late offside call that fixed it up otherwise the dogs got 6 again from a Hindy ass chargdown that wasn't even resembling played at .
I think it was the video ref that tipped them off because of this very question that would have been asked .
another fine example of how the refereeing standard is at a all time low.
Melb Storm will win the comp, News Ltd want another pay day before they leave the game.
PHIL GOULD HAS AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT.....ON THE REFS
I just watched the replay again and after reading the report from Harrigan I can see the argument they make....BUT
I think that they're really worrying signs for the future. Any way you look at it that was a massive call, at a massive moment, and i think it was because of .....
PHIL GOULD
That guy gets to spruke on endlessly on whatever he wants whenever he wants and everyone listens. The last thing a ref will want to do is piss him off.
With his media duties he's exempt from the usual penalties that apply to coaches for ref scrutiny, and with access to all the right channels he has every opportunity to either promote or criticise the actions of a ref, a call, a touchy, a rule....every single week.
Watch for the Panthers to be getting lots of 50-50 calls go they're way next year (and, as we've already seen - the rest of this one).
I think the NRL need to address this issue before it starts. It will be a hard one to manage.

Yes, Phil Gould was my conspiracy theory on why they got all the 50/50 calls and the special treatment.
He is a powerful force in the NRL world - even News Limited don't want to mess with him.
On the Sunday Roast the stupid old moron just sat there with a grin on his face saying " that's Football "
now he is incharge of a club i don't think he should have as big a role in the media as he does because he can use that to intimidate and attack officials that go against him and his pathetic panfers!
Its better than the rusty brown\orange\white he had for the last few months...
