Today we have some exciting news about the future of our club.
The NSW Government has announced that a new stadium will be built in Parramatta, as part of a $1 billion program of investment into Sydney’s sporting infrastructure.
The 30,000-seat rectangular stadium is scheduled to be completed by 2019, and will be the long-term home of the Parramatta Eels.
This announcement means our Members and supporters will be able to watch rugby league in brand new, state-of-the-art facilities, creating a significantly improved experience for both players and fans.
A new stadium complements the Parramatta Leagues Club’s $100 million precinct upgrade which is scheduled for completion at the same time, and will create a world-class entertainment and sporting hub in Western Sydney.
We have been holding ongoing discussions with the Premier and the State government for over two and a half years lobbying for a redevelopment of this nature, and this is a fantastic result.

Of course, the construction will mean some short-term changes before the new facility is completed in 2019.
We commit to consulting with all our Members during the construction process to achieve the best possible outcome for everyone.
Stay strong, stay united, and stay Blue and Gold.

Hmmm... long time no hear Mr Sharp.
Yeah.... it's been a while.
Over to you, Mr Fong...
What did this have to do with Sharp?? We've been lobbying the government longer than he has been our chairman.
So under Steves watch we have had our first training facility built, a new stadium and we have signed the best half we have had in about 30 years, not bad for a failed plumber, maybe we need more failed plumbers running the show.
Bahahahahaha Fong.
