Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has declared his desire to bring Semi Radradra back to the NRL club once his rugby commitments in France are over next year.

One month after Radradra was facing the possible end of his rugby career due to domestic assault allegations, Arthur on Thursday revealed the Eels were in talks with the winger on a new deal.

Arthur confirmed Radradra, whose charges were dropped in court earlier this month, will still link with Toulon in French rugby's Top 14 at the end of the season on a one-year deal with an option for a second.

However Arthur left the door wide open on Radradra returning in 2018.

"One hundred per cent we would be (open). If Semi wants to come back, he's not the sort of player that you're going to turn away. He's part of our club anyway," Arthur said on Thursday.

  • They are reporting that based on BA's interview today. You can watch it on the Eels site. Link on Facebook also.

    • Same as if we signed Peats.
  • yes this will come back to bite us when we go into 2018 with KP again. Peats is worth the extra 100k, who eslse is there to spend it on anyway?

  • I agree Chips. I'm not sure why we're being so frugal over $100k per year. Peats is now playing Origin, we're weak at hooker. I just pray that BA has another option we don't know about. Because if we're simply walking away from Peats over 100k and believe KP can be our only hooker option then we are screwed. It's not how you assemble a premiership winning side imo.
    • That has really frustrated me a lot
    • I'm fairly certain Clydesdale or Baptiste is coming and will be used in partnership with KP. I was told by a mate that we have signed one of the raiders hookers, hence why we've pulled the offer from Peats.

    • I really think its his injuries which is holding his price back...No doubt if he can string more games together he'd be well worth the $600k or more.

    • Well considering we didn't throw our hat in the ring for Seggy you'd have to wonder if BA is content with Poochard.
  • Hooker is a key position and we need a top shelf hooker
Don't think Baptiste is anywhere near that and he is above Clydesdale at Raiders
