I think this site is losing it completely.
Jarryd Hayne hits a ref with a shoulder during the game and gets off scott free and NO ONE - NO ONE has started a rant about the inconsistency of the NRL's (lack) of Integrity Unit clearing him.
NO ONE has mentioned the massive conflict of interest the NRL has here by running the game, having teams compete in the game they control, or the conflict of adjudicating on THEIR own players.
Not a whisper, a muted cry into a pillow - NOTHING.
I realise we all knew Hayne would be exonerated from any wrong doing - but c'mon - not one word from the members of 1EE

Thats right micka, the rule doesn't apply to accidental touches.
I put a blog up about exactly this!
Touching the referees and were the refs to blame?
It was a very tongue in cheek blog because you know who got off?
Ohhhhh, the inconsistencies in the NRL. More officials on and off the field than ever. A million dollar clunker and the worst officiated year in history.
Geez, Toddy is doing a good job!
I feel much better knowing you have covered this schlong.
So many blogs I obviously missed it.
That said, the rules are crystal clear - if you touch the ref you get suspended.
In the case of Tedesco Micka is right - the ref fell over so contact was unavoidable.
I remember Tony Carrol kicked a ref in the head trying to jump over him when he fell in front of him.
Accidents are unavoidable but Hayne was looking directly in front of him AND DIDN'T SEE THE REF?
Then in the post match interview claimed he didn't even know he shouldered the ref - FFS.
NRL run the game
NRL field two teams to compete in the game
NRL run the judiciary for their OWN players
and they claim NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
Micka what do u think about tyson frizell incident...?
there was not much difference in the 2 incidences, Frizell wasnt even looking at the ref when he touched him, Princess put his hand out to stop the ref running into him, bloody stupid law
Its been raised numerous times on here and plenty of times in the media.
The rule is for if you intentionally touch the ref not for if you accidently bump into him, and thats what happened in this instance.
And how many times have wee seen this happen Micka.
Why are the fans not screaming blue murder over the INCONSISTENCY?
Frizzel got suspended so it follows that Hayne should be suspended.
It is NOT good on the NRL for realising they stuffed up with Frizzel - it is damm the NRL for realising they won't be consistent and PUNISH their own team.
The precedent is there - now for consistency.
First fuk up sets the precedence for the judiciary - it then becomes their responsibility to continue for the remainder of the season with the same penalty for ALL players.
Sorry mate - NRL owned and operated will always see THEIR players get off on all sorts of pathetic excuses.
[Edit] - I think you will find (possibly one of our players) copped a suspension for ACCIDENTAL touch of the ref - so no mate - this is NOT acceptable.
