I'm not going to take up a lot of time with this blog nor share the details of the meeting other than to say a HUGE thank you to all those who have played their part in getting this initiative up and running and getting in this far already.
Having more of the finer points outlined last night as to what we can achieve and having Daniel Anderson attend to discuss with us the club's and give us insight into the NRL point of view (on top of hearing from Phil the outcomes of his meeting with Ian Schubert) was enlightening.
Also having Parramatta legend Peter Wynn in attendance to give us a players perspective as to how the players will feel about the supporters getting behind them like this with a coterie reassured me even more that we are onto something of significance with this project.
If you're not already a part of this initiative , I can but only urge you to get on board. Whether it's a pledge of dollars only or if you can attend the meetings and assist in any way with helping the coterie operate as smoothly as possible too, just get involved.
This is going to be something special and will mean a LOT to the club and the players.
Cheers,
DK Eel

ps. Just wanted to say it was great to meet a larger number of the people not only from this website, but very encouraging to meet people who are NOT on this site, but are passionate Parramatta supporters who want to be involved.
Not just locals too, but people that made the trip from outside the Sydney met area to be there last night.
We had an amazingly diverse group of supporters, different ages, different stages of life, so many different skill sets. Again, very encouraging to see so many people from different walks of life.
Can't wait for the next meeting !
:D
I am writing a summation of the night today, so hopefully that'll be ready to go for tonight/tomorrow.
nicely Sir Super !!! :D
Nice one congrats to everybody who has got the ball rolling, its clear its important to the club and it means something to the players, its great Ando and Wynn turned up too, great stuff.
Hi there Eelectrifying!
More than understandable on the work distance thing :)
I know that Phil and the team spoke about another meeting early in the new year and it would be awesome to see you down there for it.
What I can encourage you to do is to chat to Phil about what you can do for the coterie too. Whether it's just being a financial contributer as a member of the coterie or if you can give something of your time to help out with the business running of the coterie too.
There are some "t"s to be crossed and "i"s to be dotted still to make this a reality. That's not saying that there are any hidden agendas going on or any huge secrets. It's just the plain reality of getting something like this happening. Phil and the team have really done an ENORMOUS job in getting it to where it is now.
I don't think I can overstate the sheer amount of work that has gone into getting it to where it is already. What is really going to drive this and make this a reality will be the members. That's where we come in.
So please, don't get too disheartened about not being able to make the first meeting , rather, let me encourage you to let it inspire you. Communicate to Phil and the team and ask what you can do.
Well done for the you tube video.
Well, I guess if Dan Anderson was there that will be the final nail in any chance of JH returning to Parra lol.
I'm sure anyone who got to talk to him came away with a far clearer picture of what a nasty, manipulative trouble make he so obviously is :)
Having a pint right now at Taupo in the sun so not all bad ...
For anyone interested, the minutes are now available through the Slack discussion.
