Aaron woods seems to cop a lot of crap but is highly rated by many smart minds in the game. Canterbury need to offload players and with woods on big coin and last player to arrive would you take him for $500-600k.
I definetly would. I don't think dogs will release klemmer so woods could be good buy if they pay some of his wage.
Hasler who many people want to replace BA saw fit to offer him huge money last year so interested to see opinion of those pushing for Hasler.
Found this story on NRL.com
He outperforms RCG in every stat who everyone thinks is automatic selection for origin and a player everyone would love at the eels. Wood's offloads would be great for parra’s backline talent and he gets through plenty of work
He has extra 4 runs, 40meters per game, better tackle efficiency and out numbers RCG offloads 21-3. And post contact metres is very impressive and much better for those who will say he takes easy runs to inflate his stats.
It easy overlook players in losing sides but personally I would love have him at the eels.

Depends on the price
i am not a fan and would prefer a more aggressive prop like Klemmer or Kapow
But his post contact metres and offloads and size is what we really lack. So if the dogs were paying a lot of the freight it may be better than paying full price for Klemmer
NO
At that price i would, whilst im not a big fan of woods he does have a unique skill set for a front rower and now that we have paulo coming back woods would be a good point of difference.
No he is a cat and soft as they come.
We have brown and other forwards for aggression. His post contact metres and offloads are what we need.
You don't make over 500 post contact metres by being soft. Anyway who cares about aggression if he is making the metres and solid in defence.
Did you read the linked story and compare his stats to aggressive forwards like klemmer and RCG
Brissyeel if they are holding him up it also allows him to get offloads which is a stat he is very good at and one that our team could use with players like gutho, French and Smith.
Anyway to say teams let him have post contact metres is stupid. No side likes to give easy metres as then the momentum is with the other side. With momentum comes more favourable decisions from the ref and would boost the other team confidence.
I admit he doesn't appear run hard but he is effective. Read the story he also has quicker play the balls, probably because he doesn't have to get back to his feet.
He draws a lot penalties as well as players try slow him down when ref yells held as he is standing and ready to play the ball quickly.
Not sure tbh i have not been a fan mainly because i think he lacks aggression but if they are stats then they do tell a story. Does anyone have stats for Merrin and Tamou who would be on similar $$$?
He has size but he’s a puff.
