Still Anyone’s Season

  1. Well, we already were before Dylan Brown got injured. That was a good combo him and Moses had going and the rest of the team was falling into place around it. Now it’s just not happening.

Newie were going like Busted’s before they played Parra but now just 2 Marquee players clicking have them winning, even flogging the roosters.

We smash Tigers, Storm smash us, Tigers nearly put it to storm? Go figure.. it’s anyones comp this season.

Last two games we lost with only a try in it. Panthers 1st was way forward, a couple of passes stick, we could have won them both. If we had those 4 points we would be right in the mix.

We’re not far off being a much better team. Our halves combo not clicking puts everything in the back foot and can make it look amateur (I.e Knights before us) but getting a few things clicking can change that quickly.

Hopefully we find something before it’s too late

  • In retrospect your right Ross.  Hard to be a better team if you cant catch but. Still not identifying oppositions weaknesses, ie : waqa blakes injury, we never attacked his side.  Pushing too many passes in oppositions 20, on second or 3rd tackles. Need vision and patience.  Hopefully better next week

    • I think we did attack that side, but every time Fergo knocked on lol

  • To a degree I agree. This shows how much Brown was doing and how much we are missing him, it also shows how over rated and a dud Moses really is. He will never be a dominant half and will always cause trouble pushing his claim as this is part of the reason for the spoon and poor form this year.

    • absolutely no doubt MM is missing Dylan, to MM’s credit he admitted himself (when asked if he enjoying mentoring Dylan) that Mitchell believed Dylan was having more of a benefit to his own personal game than the other way around. Thought that was a mature and honest comment. One thing though, when an 18year old brand new rookie has this kind of impact on our 100plus game marquee half’s ability to maintain control and attack organisation, isn’t this cause for concern in itself?

Saying that Moses really is trying hard, his defence is improved outta sight but I question his ability  to be suited to THIS team as it is and vice versa still and he seems unable to play with any kind of patience at all, needs to stop with his go to panicky wasteful  mid field bombs buying nothing for us esp when we need to pressure or need a breather. Moses also has to adjust his kick game to suit HIS team! but it’s not all his fault :)

  • Mind boggling  results Ross!  you are right but one things for sure we need to do something new now. that’s why I reckon we should get some fresh blood head mentoring assistance and new defensive assistance in there ASAP. If we can all see it of course Brad can plus some but for some reason BA is not getting through to them and maybe fresh assistance can help.

  • Roosters will be going back to back if they get most of the squad fully fit. They had a heap of key players out last night. Would of been a completely different ball game if they had player's.

  • We’re still top 8, lol how the hell?

14 more points in the last 2 games we would be top 4.

Just reinforces how tight and unpredictable the comp is this year.

Were in a form slump, other teams have been too. Hopefully we can turn it around soon!

  • The season is done. Three clubs are going to fight it out. Souths, Easts and Melbourne.
