You come from dust and to dust you will return. That's why you shouldn't dust. It could be someone you know.

When one door closes and another door opens, you're probably in prison.

If you answer your phone with "Hello. You're on the air.", most telemarketers will quickly hang up.

Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life from nowhere. It makes your heart race and changes you forever.  We call these people cops.

For Sale . Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

They say marriages are made in Heaven. Then again, so is lightning and thunder.

Maybe the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of Charades.

This "killing them with kindness" is taking way longer than I expected.

I started out with nothing. I still have most of it.

There's nothing scarier than that split second when you lose your balance in the shower and think "Oh No. They're gonna find me naked.”

One minute you're young and fun. And the next you're turning down the stereo in your car so you can see better.

One day you'll be able to tell your grandkids that you survived the GTPS 2020 (Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020).

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your pocket.

Never miss a good chance to shut up.

And finally - Can we all agree that in 2015 not a single person got the answer correct to the question, "Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?"

    • Yes Slugg I am getting to the stage where I think about that stuff more often these days.. That's an okay thing to do for a short while and then try and move on somehow. I like watching or reading biographies of other people to see how they interpreted things that happened through their lives.I always felt some comfort in that.

            • honestly,. I am amazed at how you and PT remember these things. I used to love watching a lot of B/W movies. They really show a huge cultural shift in how our realities have changed over the years. They were hard years in a lot of material ways but very fruitful with belonging to a community of sorts. You knew a lot more people more intimately in those days.

                • I think we are bombarded with so much coming from everywhere. No much time to use our own imagination--its all laid out for you..Somebody elses reality thrown out at you and your own imagination is not exercised anymore. Maybe we lose part of our own identity in that type of process..Reading books was something that exercised your imagination and I think much better in shaping you as a person. Not seeing the nipples probably was more arousing for a male than having it thrust down your throat

                  • Actually thrust down one’s throat would probably do it more so for me Tad!

                • Just watched that clip Slugg. Mate, I look at old paintings a lot and had the same thought process in watching that clip. The realization that all those people are now all long gone. Depressing I know. We sometimes don,t like thinking about that. But it is a reality and we should be more open about those things to get a proper sense of what a full life means. I think thats why people look for things like spirituality and religion to help keep a more positive view of life..I was speaking to a dear friend who is in her 80,s today. She is a highly intelligent person who lost her partner 2 years ago. We had a lovely conversation about how she talks to her deceased partner during the day and feels his presence around her all the time.I lost my parent's ages ago and my sister a few years ago and their presence is around me a lot..I think this lady would be completely lost without that the positiveness of her partner's presence around her every day Love talking to her about this stuff as it keeps those relationships alive..

"Absolutely, NOS.
There could be other areas in the cap that could offset the red hole. But I'm just talking about the specifics of the deal. The maths don't add up. Definitely sackable. On thin ice.

"Coryn, with Katoa, paying 1.3/1.4m on the cap with some juicy TPA's would be worth every cent, imo.

"Except, we lost Dylan Brown (950k/1m) & Lomax (650k/700k) and replaced them two players who should be on 600k combined? There should be 1m in our bank just there, and going off what Ryles has mentioned, money doesn't seem to be the issue?

My faux tissue-paper guesstimates, done in my head, reckons losing Moses ($1.25m), Matto (650-700K) and a trimmed Junior (save 300-400K) wouldn't cover Whyte (800K), Katoa ($1.35m) and McLean (700K).
