  • Q: Have you heard about McDonald’s new Obama Value Meal?
A: Order anything you like and the guy behind you has to pay for it.

    • A little difficult to lay generations of economic, social and racial stratification at the feet of any one leader, Drumphy included.

Is it any wonder that in a country that relies on tipping to supplement terrible wages for the economically disadvantaged, a user pays health care system, crushing student debt to acces higher education , poorly funded schools and social services programs, a tragically flawed political system and huge economic disparity between the minority wealthy and majority struggling has exploded as 1 in 5 are now out of work?

      • Sounds a lot better than Australia atm mate - 1 in 3 out of work here.

Health system is almost non existent.

        Social services programs same.

Education funding the lowest in our history with NO real learning curriculum. My grand daughter does approximately 10.5 hours direct teacher/student, face to face class time per WEEK in year 12.

And a political system run by overseas countries.

        • 1 in 3 people out of work? 33.3*% of Australia?

          8.4915 million people?

          No health care system?

          You are trrriipppinngg!

          :)

          • You gotta stop reading Scumboys press releases.

1/3 of Australian workers are OUT of a job - FACT.

Numbers are fudged with employed being equal to ONE hour work per week so as to avoid hitting "unemployed" status.

Now of you really are as stoopid as you are presenting yourself (which we all know you are) I will show you why we DO NOT have an effective healthcare system.

Man has heart attack and taken to hospital, man has major problems taking prescription heart medication so specialists stand around the end of this man's bed for NINE days pondering the problem. Man has 99% blockage in Coronary artery and can die at any minute. Man, and his wife start banging table top and claiming malpractice then going to call Ryan's Rule.

All of a sudden doctors find a way to operate and save man's life.

Who was this man = ME!

Man has complications with esophegus function, can hardly swallow and in extreme pain all the way down his esophegus - Cat 1 endoscopy organised and man is bleeding to death from massive ulcer. Man spends FIVE days in hospital on infusion to stop bleeding. Ulcer appears to stop bleeding and man given meds to take for next 8 weeks until second endoscopy will be performed. Hospital rings man, Corona virus lockdown so no face to face. Man tells doctors things are shit and apparently getting worse with unable to swallow food or liquid. Hospital says we will get you in within a week for endoscopy. Man has follow up phone call from hospital SIX weeks later because they cannot find record of second endoscopy (that was never performed) "OH Shit, maybe we should do an endoscopy" and the tale goes on.

Now I can give you case after case of irregularities, incompetence or just plain "Don't fucking care" from medical profession with their patients - and you have the termerity to laugh at those BEING KILLED by this uncaring, ineffective, incompetence of a system that effectively DOES NOT EXIST.

I know who is tripping moron, go back to your Murdoch press releases.

            • Sorry to hear you had to go through that mate.

My wife is a nurse so I know how difficult our health system can be at times, but to say that we don't have health care system is just not true.

Thanks for tarring me as a Murdoch reading Scomo supporter. Makes a nice change from being pidgeon holed as a commie pinko lefty.

              • You should try the middle fringe looney brigade for a while mate - most amusing.

The "system" is there - it just has no leadership, direction or care factor at the top.

I would be dead if it was not for the Nurses, so not going to diss the ones who are usually as frustrated as the patients.

            • Col, that whole story sucks. Sounds like it's been very stressful. I am wishing another Eels victory just to help keep your spirits up. Take care you old bastard.

            • Where do you get your info Col? Red Raggers Bulletin? Please, u are embarassing yourself. Secondly, read the blog title again. Thirdly, sorry to hear about your medical issues (that is genuine) and I'm glad the government could save your life! (that is a joke).

      • Trumpy is a pretender who wanted to put President of USA on his notch belt that's all.
