How did this site become a political mess?

I hardly comment anymore on posts. If I do, I try keep my opinions to myself. Not worth it.

The way people get treated here sometimes is straight up appalling. Comments are made to cut deep. The pack mentality runs wild.

I come here because I'm an Eels fan. Turns out some people are here because they're fans of themselves.

  • I think HOE and Super explained well, why McLovin was banned. There's no need to start another blog about it calling out the mods for their pack mentality.

    • LOL!!!!

  • I agree, most on here are intent on delivering a serve back,  working on their biggest insult or trying to prove someone wrong rather than talking about the footy.

Some commenters on this site have a great take on footy and I enjoy reading their opinions, especially if it's different from my own, Frankie and Poppa being a couple of examples... While I don't always agree, they almost always present a different view which is important to value and respect.

  • Whatever it is you don't like, i am happy as it has kept you  shut up you sanctimonious virtue signalling stooge.

    • Randy is right on the money here, all EAM does here is attack people and put people down, this blogs hillarious coming from such a toxic poster lol

      • SeS, I'll defend myself or someone else when needed. Unlike some, I don't come here to put people down.

You call me a toxic poster. Please. I think anything you don't agree with is considered toxic.

    • Virtue signalling? Ha, na mate, I  always back my statements and opinions.

  • I honestly don't notice all the sniping. Whenever a thread goes off topic and becomes personal I skim straight past it.
My observation of this site is it tends to the negative. Parra win 50 - nil and there'll be a thread about how BA didn't use the bench properly or that the Storm would have won by 60.

    • That's a great assumption mutts, but don't forget, some are subconsciously trying not to get their hopes up as to make what they assume as the enviable fall softer, but who couldn't blame them? Been a while lol. Not their fault.  No doubt Arthur has done well. Some good improvements with a few younger players coming through.

    • I'm the same Muttman. I hate it when you see a blog with multiple pages, at first you think, "oh.., this might be a good one..." then you just find that it spiralled out of control with abuse.

"Saifiti was always going to back-up, he was going to get limited minutes. Though shows what a joke of a selection it was to start with. Haas will be in for him now anyway."

"I think the issue many see is sin bin v send off. Many do not argue against a sin bin it is send off that is the problem. Now the debate is about head clash or shoulder to head. No rapping of the arm and shoulder did contact the head."

"Ok now that is a joke. Suaali'i got 4 weeks for his hit. So pretty much undermines Klein as well for calling a send off.
But Hopoate accidentally makes contact with ref and gets a week?"
