Final Ashes Test.

I have a feeling that we will spank the Poms in this test.

We’ve retained the urn. The boys know they will be home soon after a long time spent away.

Apart from Head, the coach has shown faith in the rest of the players, and his mate Marsh!

The weather will be good and the scene is set for the boys to win and win easily.

Come on boys, fire up!

  • Warner should have been dropped also for Khawaja. I can't fathom that Langer insists with Oz batting only with 10 players.

Aus should also rest Cummo. Don't want him breaking down again due to his big workload this summer.

    • Mitchell Marsh has been selected to take some of the load off our front three pace attack.

      • Well Mitchell Marsh is certainly taking someones load, that's the only explanation for him being in the team after his long line of failures.

        • LOL. And 100% correct.

    Massive CHAD!

    • Fan on the hill...Khawaga isn't much better unfortunately. Our top order has struggled big time, but so have the opponents top order. Warner obviously has a weakness Broad is perfect at exposing. Let's hope Warner gets a century.

      • We'll maybe not so much but at least he's not knicking them first few balls he gets. He's got more stickability. Broad's doing a number on Warner and it's criminal on behalf of Langer leaving him out there destroying his confidence even further.

  • The Oval is the best batting pitch in England. Smith needs to score 309 runs to pass Bradman which, if he has someone to stick around with him, he realistically could do given he scored 293 runs in the last test and 286 in the first test.

    • Just think that the only way Smith has been out this summer is because he went out slogging (for quick runs) after Aus took the upper hand and when Archer felled him, we wasn't himself after coming back out.

I'm sure England had a couple plans for him but they went out of the window because you have a batsman who doesn't have any weaknesses and has the soundest defensive technique in the world. What he did to Broad in his 82 who was bowling constantly way down legside to simply forehanding shots to the boundary I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. That would have been as humiliating as when Youvraj Singh smashed him for 6 sixes in an over.

I was watching a youtube clip yesterday and the journo was saying ever since he came back into the Aus team in 2012 (leaving aside when he was an allrounder) he has a freakish average of 75 in test cricket.

The guy is a freak and we are lucky to witness his greatness.

Yuvraj Singh 6 Ball 6 Sixes Against Stuart HD
Yuvraj rocketed away to a 12-ball half-century, which to date remains the quickest fifty in T20Is. He eventually finished on 58 in 16 balls, his inni…
    • It certainly won't be Warner... or Marsh for that matter.

"Surely Bamblett is young enough to learn these things EA. He is 19 years old. I remember watching him last year and I didn't rate him at all. 12 months later he is twice the player. Who knows what sort of player he'll be at 21.

"He looks bigger than Twidle to me. Taller anyway.  His contact will improve as he gets stronger and he can use his mobility to find his place at 6.  Coaches can challenge a players defence easier than teaching that natural flair in attack.  "

6. Sharpe
7. Brown
9. Smith
That's what the Knights want to do with their spine,  not sure if that's good enough for a premiership but it will get them playing finals"

Hell On Eels’s discussion was featured
Last week, the Parramatta Eels showed they can win with controlled rage and a plan.
This week, they’re up against it again. History says so. Form says so. The bookies say so. The venue says so. “Fozball” says so.
Last week’s win was fuelled by the…

"Then again EA, it is on the club and himself to decide what path to approach. If he and the club feel 6 can work, then work with him. He either improves enough where he gets game time or he doesn't and goes back to Fullback and hopes for an opening.…"

Having him at 6 is a good move"
