1. Iongi

2. Fox

3. Russell

4. Samrami/Penasini

5. Simmonson

6. Pezet

7 Mo

8. Jnr

9 Smith

10. Williams

11. Kelma Tuilagi

12  kit Kautoga

13. Debelin

14. Da Silva

15. Sam Tuivaiti

16. Walker

17. Doorey

18. Hopgood

* Kelma did enough and is a strike weapon out wide. Although Williams is a steadier player, i really think Kelma creates opportunities both on and off the ball. He also had a massive pre season as Ryles pointed out.  Without Kelma we don't beat the donkeys

* Also, i don't know what to do with Hopgood/ Williams fighting it out for a prop rotation position.

* I think Ryles will opt for Penasini over Samrami if fully fit.  If Samrami is kept at centre i have no issues.

* The bench must be retained, each of the four turned the tide for the eels in the second half

* Williams & Hopgood.  Williams the player of the year 2025 wont be left outHopgood returns after suspension  - a good headache for Ryles to have having a number of choices

Debelin/Hopgood.  One of these two will.be left out

Some interesting choices

    • Yes I agree with this team, I think its the strongest line up.  To be fair I even think Moretti should be in front of Debelin.

However,  I think Ryles knows that Debelin will play strongly against the club that didn't want him, and give him the chance to find some form. Im 100% certain Ryles will stick with Debelin

  • What's the point of now having an extended bench of 6 players instead on 4 when you can still only use 4 which is basically the same. It would be better if all 6 could be used.

    • Yes. I cant see a problem with using more than 4. The game at the moment is so fast that fatigue will set in with that system

      • If there is 6 players on the bench then all 6 should be used in the game if needed regardless of HIA. It's like having a full tank of fuel but your only allowed to use half

    • Yeah i think instead it should be the same, 4 man bench, but instead of only having 18th man have a 19th too. So if Parra name Papali'i at 18 and Penisini goes down not overly ideal. But if you have Samrani at 19, activate him to replace Penisini as another option so you are not wondering who to name as the 18th man.

Paul Kent knocked it on the head to start with, teams are not forced who and what positions they need to name on the bench, they can name 4 backs if they like. So if they do not have coverage for a half or back on their bench that's on them. It is true.

      • I think with the current speed of the game and the increasing amount of HIA's I really think having a 6 man bench which all 6 can be used during the game at the coaching discretion is the way to go. If the game was slower ( get rid of repeat sets) then stay with the 4.

  • My team list would be,

    1. Longi

    2. Addo-carr

    3. Russell

    4. Samrani,  imo he has gone past penisini who has too many errors in his game.

    5. Simmonson

    6. Pezet

    7. Moses

    8. Hopgood

    9. Smith

    10. Paulo but he would play the ball distributing 13 role as he did tremendously for Samoa.

    11. Williams

    12. Kautoga

    13. JDB playing prop role.

    14. TDS he has to play exactly as he did against the broncos.

    15. Walker

    16. Tuivaiti, he is a must in the 17 every week no matter what.

    17. Tuilagi, impact player on an edge pushing Williams to the middle when he comes on.

    18. Guymer

    19. Penisini, Kelly

    20. Morreti.

Edit. I forgot about papalii,  I would rotate him with penisini/Kelly, they will need game time in reserve grade at stages.

  • Geez Gutho having a stinker against the Storm yikes
