Wright is allright

I think wrights been on the improve each game hes had the last few weeks. He has very good hands for a tall player saw him catch 2 passes down by his feet. I think hes played himself into the starting side. Started slow last night and obviously made a few mistakes but made up for it, ten fold. For me he stays in the team. No tahu needed because he obviously isnt a team player plus the only time tahu can score is if thers no defenders in front of him.

I also thought robson was great last night. shifts the ball quickly and loves to back up our offloading forwards, great support.

two lucky tries doesnt make him a superstar. He's a selfish hog too. What about when he dummied to Hayne (who would have scored in a better position, under the posts!), he also made several fundimental errors in the first half. Anyway, Tahu back next week so he can rack off back to wenty where he belongs.

i would stil chuck Tahu back in, his first 20 mins was abysmal, along with his last 3 games.

still sitting on the bench about him. I was cursing him at the beginning of the game but started to see real improvement in the later of the first half and then he played well in the second half. Maybe with more game time in high pressure matches he will improve... i would be more than happy to be proven wrong about my feelings about him

I have supported Wright on this page while some are constantly bagging him, however there is no way on planet earth that he would be picked ahead of TT. Tahu is the first picked centre. You can not be serious to suggest DA would leave TT out of the side if available, he is a international level player, an Origin player, Jono may develop into a good first grader maybe city/country level. You don't have other teams coaches directing attack at TT, they try to avoid him because defensively he is very tight and he is very powerful and hurts guys in defence, on the other hand they would attack towards Wright.

It's wonderful to see so much support for a true underdog player.

People fail to realise how difficult the step is from Wenty and that these young men need time in First Grade before they are comfortable and reach their potential.

He will only get better! :-)

pity Burt missed that pass he set up... I have no problems with Wright, but i admit there are better wingers out there

Yes I think DA would have had a little chuckle to himself, when Jono stepped up, it gives us options and nothing makes a player step up and put in if he looks to the sidelines and knows there is another player pushing hard for his place in the team. I think TT and Joel will pick up their game and bring the A game out, because they know the coach has options

Gonefishing, are you sure your ok? Did I read it right that you would rather Wright instead of Tahu because he fluked two tries. Man I have read some crap on this website but none more crap then this. This guy Wright is SHIT and isn't good enough to hold Tahu's boots let alone take his position. Wright is not 1st grade material and I hope we never have to rely on him again. END OF STORY.

  bit harsh adam, IMO he is an average player and stepped up a few gears last night dont go bagging him out after he just played the best game of his career everyone needs to just lay off and give it a break.
