every year I think the same thoughts go through a eels fans mind.
Sure we've been to a few apart from 01 we never really were much of a chance.
Im in my 40s now ive resigned myself to the fact that I won't see one.
There are glimmers of hope this year with Ryles as there were with Smith, Hagan, Anderson and Arthur still feels thats its not destined for us.
Tonight ill enjoy another Gf without any investment apart from maybe a better on the Broncos.
Always next year 🤞

I'm lucky enough to have been at the SCG to see Parra take out their first Premiership. They said we had little chance that day, but we got the job done with a largely inexperienced team. We can do the same again, but this will need careful focus from the top down. Hang in there, I'm sure it's not that far away.
The beauty of the situation is nobody knows. No guarentee we ever win another but no guarentee we don't.
Its hard work being an eels fan. A smarter person would have jumped on board another team a long time ago, for me, at least these days, I just enjoy the wins when they come. As Jack said, it starts in the front office, which explains why three or four teams have made the GF every year for the last ten years.
I'll be backing the Broncos, supporting the storm goes against my DNA
💯.
Over half the teams in the comp haven’t won in 20 years or more (if ever!). Parra (39 years), Raiders (31 years), NZ (30 years and never), Knights (24 years), Doggies (21 years), Tigers (20 years), Broncs (19 years), Titans (nothing in 18 years.) And the Dolphins. Not that it makes it any easier for Parra fans.
was lucky enough to witness all four grand finals. The thing about winning is that it’s like a drug — no matter how many times you’ve tasted it, the hunger is always for the next one.
In the late ’80s, from 1987 to 1990, when the club went through a major downturn, we as fans were left dissatisfied and dejected. After so much success, we couldn’t believe how quickly things had fallen away, and many were calling for heads to roll. The fact that we’d won four premierships in the six years prior suddenly didn’t matter — it was all about the here and now.
Looking back with a bit more perspective, I don’t think I’d feel the same way today if we’d only won one. I know now just how hard they are to win, and how rare that success can be. But at the time, it really did feel like winning had spoiled us. Success is addictive, and maybe it’s simply human nature that no matter how much we achieve, we’re never truly satisfied. This will also happen to panthers fans.
I was only alive for 09 and 22. I still got time my fuck idk if it will be any time soon
Way more stressful when it's your team in the grand final. We will build up towards it again 😂
I really reckon the Eels will win a premiership under Jason Ryles definitely 100%
I agree
I've kept all my decorations and posters from a few years ago
