what happens if Samoa or tonga make world cup final or even win it? Surely they then become a tier 1 nation?

Hey Fiddy , I guess these players will have one more chance to realign their allegence IF any Tier 2 teams are reclassified. Im only guessing though Im probably wrong lol.
In the end its either Australia or Bust. I think this is fair, if a player makes the decision to play for their "Family Origin" Country and they are Tier 1 like ENG or NZ currently, then they are ineligible for Origin.
Does this dilute the quality of our No 1 Product State of Origin Yeah probably does. Its the shifting nature of Rugby League, the Polynesian demographic in the game is growing all the time.
One of the criteria to be considered Tier 1 is you have to have a professional national league or be participating in a national league. The island nations don't and never will
