WILL TOOVEY COP A FINE?

Hey all,

Geoff Toovey showed his true colours as a typical Manly whinger after the Souths game, giving it big time to the refs.

Only problem is that what he said was absolute garbage.  He claimed the Matai 'no-try' clearly showed the ball was grounded by Matai. This is not the case - even on the Footy Show today, Sterlo and co all agreed that there was not enough evidence to overturn the on-field ref's call.

We all know that Sticky has been fined twice this year. On the second occasion, he hardly said enough to hurt the feelings of a dog.

So, with this in mind, does Toovey cop a fine, and if so, how much?

If not, big questions need to be asked?

  • probably no
  • The refs are so inconsistent with the 'on-field' refs original decision. The dogs Canberra game had a call like that where the video ref did not have enough evidence but still went against the original call.

And yes Toovey should cop a fine.

  • Should be a carbon tax on top of the fine, due the burning manure coming out of his mouth.

  • He will cop a fine of 10k for sure, but it was funny seeing him go off, ive never seen him like that before, he was like a little kid lol, it was great viewing.

  • Oh no NRL doesn't want to be upsetting Tony Abbott's favourite team. No, he'll get a reward like a kiss on the cheek

  • Toovs went off his head hes a nutter. Yes, Get the cheque book out toovs 10 grand thanx

  • The last angle / replay clearly showed Matai did not ground the ball. Toovey was always in the ref's face whinging as a player. The guy has not changed. Manly had enough ball / opportunities in the second half to win the game.

  • I loved it. Great rant. Watch Manly get a few favourable calls in the semi's.

  • Toovey just copped a 10k fine, it was always going to happen.

"Probably a bit like Luke Kelly. Very comfortable at reserve grade level, ball playing is probably above that level, but not quite there in terms of speed of the game and reading defences."
