Will this week make or break our season

Big match coming up in more ways than one. If we are to push for a finals birth we must stand up on Friday! With 3 losses on the trot, if it becomes 4 we are pretty much gone. Maybe not in terms of wins/games but our confidence will be shot!I was very critical of the Hayne decision last week, he must lift to another level and repay his team mates with a five star performance. If he does that he will take us a long way to winning the game, and give us back that confidence of winning and what it does to a team!C'mon parra!

  • If Hoppa, Hayne, Sio are back this week we will have a chance. Couple of other changes should be made too.
  • Agree we are gonski. Even with Hayne back we are long odds vs the bunnies. It will be close until the second half and then the capitulation will start.
  • If and it's a big if, our forwards stand tall we will win! Keep the faith fellas otherwise we are goneski
  • I thought the loss to Newcastle, a game at home that Parra should NEVER have lost - particularly after a tough stretch against Panthers Cowboys Bulldogs and Storm where we earned a respectable "pass" mark with 2 wins and 2 losses BUT the writing was on the wall against the Storm

The Knights match was vital to getting our "form" and season back on track

Now with 3 losses in a row - even an unlikely win against Souths still sees a monumental task ahead with all but 1 game played outside Parramatta Stadium

Winning outside of Parramatta Stadium (and there are 7 of those) just seems too insurmountable based on injuries and our awful away form

  • The debate rages again, why would you move games away from parra, the fans absolutely hate it! Commercial avenue sure, but wouldn't a team playing semi final football generate as well?
  • I agree tele1, our position on the table, confidence and injuries will make it very difficult to get a top 8 spot. The closeness of the competition puts added pressure on the players aswell. All this points to not playing finals football. If we can beat the Rabbitohs this Friday night, then I'm prepared to go out on a limb and say we will be playing finals football. However, I don't think we will beat the Rabbitohs this week - even if Hayne plays well - need the likes of Mau & Peats playing in this one.
    • If we go at Rabbitohs like Tigers did earlier in the year i can see us winning. We need a big performance from our returning players. But more importantly we need to agitate the Rabbitohs forwards out of the game. If more than one Burgess' is playing we need Lussick and Allgood to take out George and/or Tom which will bring Sam rushing in. Get there forawrds angry and hotheaded and we can grind out a win. If need be Lussick and Allgood can take one for the team and get suspended for a few weeks to help us win this Friday.

Hopefully Sio, Hopoate and Hayne all play which definitely bolsters our defence. If we are lucky Radradra doesn't miss this week, Arthur drops Joseph Paulo puts in Gower and rewards Moeroa for last weeks performance by giving him a spot on the bench.

Add to all of this home ground advantage and we have a good chance of winning this one.

  • Based on current form, we could easily get the spoon...
  • With the injury list we have and the back up that is useless we have no chance of making the eight. Ive said this for ages now but we still have to recruit massively over the next couple of years to be a top team.
  • Hindy, my sanity does better by having little faith in the Eels, thus leading to minimal disappointment and maximum happy surprise.

"All good mate, it must be something both clubs are open to. I have no idea why the dogs wanted Galvin (but they did). He would have been a much better fit with us. Sometimes there's things in life we simply don't understand or can't explain."
