Inglis might be one hell of an athlete, but he's a dog.
Sure, he's got a right to pursue as much money as he can, but in doing so, he paints a picture of himself.
If this bloke ever played with your club, you know he would jump ship at the first available opportunity to make a little more.
Really though, this news shouldn't surprise. He had no hesitation jumping ship to Qld (maybe extra $$$ were involved???). He played for the cheating Storm. The players knew full well what was going on.
He agrees to terms with the Broncos, only to jump ship at the last moment to get a little more at the Bunnies. Well now the Bunnies are learning that what goes around comes around.
Let's not be under any illusions - Inglis is being paid handsomely by the Bunnies and I'm sure he's treated like a King - something he has become very accustomed to. He just captained them to a premiership, and his immediate impulse is to look for a little more. Well, Greg, good luck to you. I hope you get what you're looking for.
But you won't be remembered as a player who had any heart off the footy field. Spineless.
Greg Inglis is my least favourite footy player, and that includes Matai.

he has done everything in the game - if he wants to leave good luck to him
Dont get me wrong, he is a superstar of our game and i wouldnt want to see him go, but at the end of the day you gotta do whats best for your family.
On your bike Greg.
These managers get in these guys ears, they tell them they are undercutting themselves financially playing League, and its the truth, they could get more money playing rugby in japan or Europe.
We cant match those offers, even if we put the cap up by 1 million we will struggle to match it.
The answer is having a special allowance for your best 2-3 players that allows you to pay them real big bucks, our current systems not working.
Its important to keep the greatest players in the game, they sell the game amongst other things.
To be honest this is probably GI talking up a contract review, he's just won the comp, hed be seeing things a bit differently now, and all of this is a orchestrated campaign to put pressure on the NRL to do more to keep their stars, and at the same time its giving his own team souths a warning.
Most players dont say this sort of stuff to the media unless they have been instructed by their manager.
I don't even know why players and clubs use contracts at all. They mean sweet FA so just get rid of them and go back to the good ol hand shake which probably has more merit than these contracts that are not worth the paper they are written on.
True. Get out clauses are the problem.
Haha Kramer.
Not for 1.5 mil plus per year though.
We'd get Izzy for 1.4!
Probably just trying, 'the Dave Smith keeping marquee players in League payment' on for size.
Hayne hadn't even left the country and they started up the Inglis to Union call
Well at least his honest, his not spitting bs saying he wants to challenge himself, there's nothing left for him here, or its been a dream of his and if he doesn't do it now he will regret it. Its straight up
Can't help but think you may be referring to Hayne.
Hayne is not going on an automatic motza contract. He has to earn it against all odds. Actually shows Hayne is not ruled by his bank balance.
