I agree. We may have a few players that aren't suited to their current position, contrary to what some of the coaches and so called expert commentators think.
DB is NOT a 5/8. He is more suited to centre. Lacks any kicking game or creativity required of a half. Good defender and a strong runner. 1:1 with some room out wide, he would do very well.
Penisini could be better suited on the wing, similar to Brian To'o BUT if I were a coach, I'd train him in the hooker role. Built low off the ground with strong leg speed, he could be a revelation. Defending in the middle will be much easier for him. A real headache for the opposition with his strong darts from dummy half.
Lomax, definitely more a winger than a centre. HOWEVER with his size and strength. I would like to see him give 5/8 a go. With some kicking game practice, I could see him being a Freddy Fitler type player. Big and strong with some good footwork. He would be a better and more devastating running no.6 than our current one.
No . His decision making was equally as bad on the right . He just doesn't have it between the ears , he gets burnt for acceleration to add injury to insult . Very average player that the club through BA put on a high perch.
OMG, it's great to see a few people calling this out consistently now, dumbe defensive reads and lack of pace!!! I can't believe he's still in the side and not to mention JAC has a case of frostbite playing outside of this centre that refuses to look outside.
"Good post, Coryn.
The way the Eels shifted the ball, especially from within their own half, was impressive.
Dylan Walker has been awesome, really surprised at how much of a difference he has made.
Errors & discipline. It'll come, Coryn. "
"That Sharks side has been getting ready for 3 years. They are a top four side.
I think the Eelscwent well, there were a couple shit calls against the Eels, especially the 6 again rule on the last tackle."
"The bomb diffusal is hurting, unfortunately for Iongi his errors hurt more than others being the last line of defence... but a positive is he is getting himself back into position & catching the next one.
Iongi is learning arguably one of / if not…"
"#2 defensive side in the comp.
The 2 best things I saw from Parra last night is they continued to move the ball even though they were behind I credit the coaching and the change of thought because of that which is a good thing.

We've got 2 shit defensive centres. Why does Lomax rush up for no reason
Agree there with lomax, he has no idear how to read the play. Twice today he has rushed up and missed everything.

Could moving to the left have anything to do with it?
Shouldn't and his defence on the right last year wasn't anything to write home about

Can't pass either. Just a battering ram.
Can't and refuses - both just as bad
He couldn't read a comic book.
