Today we all agree was a very ugly win , This is a game that had Half a Raiders and they turned up to play , something we expected however we did find a last minute way to scrape over the line . All EELS fans have not seen these close wins for a very long time but they did it . It is also our 3rd straight away win and Hayne got his revenge on RS , scoring his 100th TRY in Darwin against his old coach.
We saw a few small positives , one for me was that beautiful pass from Semi onto Hayne and Semi forcing the line drop out . The game was messy and we need to improve 50% if we are to beat the dogs who will surely fire up .
I said at the start of the year we will make the top 8 and storm will miss out , I still stand by that , but I also see the panthers dropping out . Looking at the last 4 regular games , PANTHERS have warriors , manly , storm , cowboys . The panthers will struggle now due to injuries and while they should beat storm at home I cant see them stopping cowboys manly or the warriors .
The STORM are just average this year and I cant see what the talk is about them , the play panthers so one of them has to lose for sure , sharks which they should win , roosters who are in form and the Broncos who are going strong .
If I am right both the storm and panthers may miss out , but the storm look certain to miss out .
We as you know now face the dogs, manly , Newcastle them the raiders again .
Should our eels toughen up we do have points in s to beat the dogs , Manly I think are flying very high and we will be lucky to beat them . Newcastle and raiders are simply must win games , that places us on 30 points and should we beat dogs or manly then we finish on 32 .
So whatever happens this year is a success to our team and coach . Morgan should learn to pass more but he still had a god solid game . So EELS fans , do you agree that 30 points is enough ?
I think I will be , and we can all enjoy watching the other games closely and hope we get help from other sides wanting their final wins for the year . The sharks may very well upset the warriors ,unlikely but possible .
The fact the storm and panthers must play each other is the key game to watch . This will be a must win game for both and lets hope a few injuries come to the top sides now . We are on track of a 2009 repeat and once we make the semis anything can happen .
While I don't think we are playing as well as 2009 , we have yet to kick into top gear and I cant wait to see the EELS playing games we will remember forever .
I big cheer to the fans at Darwin , you could clearly hear they were screaming eels fans and the reception HAYNE got was massive . I though Hayne was asleep in the first half , but he woke up and just in time . Sandow is taking a leading roll , he remained calm and did what he had to do .
ANZ is going to be a cliff hanger and I just hope that the eels fans fill the stadium and take over the stadium in what I think will be a game as important as the 2009 FINAL .
Should our EELS win next Friday , it makes us almost certain semi-finalists .
So be a good EELS fan and tell your friends and their friends to get to the game and help bring our boys home with a win on Friday .

Good arguments EME. I think you can throw the Dogs into the mix of teams struggling to make the 8. Of course the Broncos and Dragons are two teams behind us which could make a run. The teams which are almost certain to feature in order of certainty are Manly, Souffs, Roosters, Cowboys, Warriors. That leaves 3 spots up for grabs in my book, so we are a reasonable chance.
We won't be scraping into the Eight I'm sorry to say.
We'll be Top 4 and getting a home final.

Qld is a good team and couldn't do it
Most games are away so I can not see us making the top 8. On our last performance we need to lift 100% not 50%. This is a great improvement on the last few years and hopefully we beat the raiders again but I can not see us beating the rest as they have improved were we seem to of peaked with 1 good game and then a bad game.
Gowers pass to Hayne was a ripper.
Not quite as good as Ricky's exit from the presser!
