Mate the rubbish I've read on here this season about us showing these glimmering signs of hope actually brings a tear to my eye with sadness for these poor buggers hopes and dreams. I don't blame Eels fans for finding some kind of positive in any little thing, but I do draw the line when they pretend like the people being realistic are nothing but negitive nancys .
We have seen zero this season to show us things are turning around , zilch. We still have a muppet recruiting and have failed to land anyone of note with a bank full of cash , even though we released players to free up cash , for what ? Why did we release blokes a year early ? Did we do it to change the culture ? Cause we are still the same team that gets lapped by St Merge the first 40 mins when we were going in with some kind of expectation of a win, same team making stupid errors , same team with a big dumb Judy Paulo that couldn't bend a rotten banana .
What's different next season other than DylBoobs Brown Eye is someone else's daughters problem. Ryles , whilst I like his bloke next door kinda straight shooter approach for the media is kinda like a Temu Todd Payten at this stage , he hasn't really shown us he'll have any different a career than a O'Brien , Fitzy or Payten and may be a thin ice career type of coach, neither here nor there .
There hasn't really been any noticeable improvements in the squad . Yeah some will say we've fixed up our defence , the scoreboard says otherwise.
My heart has hope that Ryles succeeds , my head says 2026 I'll be exactly the same as 2025.

I know a Souths fan right now, he is refusing to watch games and cancelled his memberships. Give credit to Eels fans no matter how we are going you still see them out and about. South's fans? Didn't know there were so many til they won a comp in 2014. Penrith of course you see heaps of now.

Sunday is massive for GC. If they lose to Tigers that could be nail in the coffin. Do they lift once Des is gone? Doubt it but could still win games they shouldn't once Des is gone.
It's a big game for Wests too as if they win i think that means they avoid the spoon.

Every team gets a few years where injuries just completely obliterate them. That's Souths this year. Their squad isn't amazing but it's also not a wooden spoon squad if they avoid a horror run of injuries.
Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not.
