Who are we going to buy

We should have more then enough money to buy Koloamatangi Garrick Murray

With no Lomax Matterson Lane Cartwright  Brown thats a big chunk off our salary cap we can buy players

We got got 2 players for next year and 1 only for 1year what a joke

At this stage i think we come last lost to many players replace them with only 2 players

      • Exactly Pou. Many in the game are saying we need to up salaries to not match R360 as we won't be able to but at least close the gap somewhat. Instead of $1.3 being the peak of salaries maybe $2mil can be. The likes of $900k would be equivalent to a player on $600k.

But this also links to the talk of a 19 round comp and should hit that nail on the head as to close the gap to R360 you cannot drop the game that match to broadcasters. Adding the same weeks with an extra game a week til the 20th team would up the tv deal significantly. You don't want same deal or if a broadcaster is that desperate to get it but offer slightly more. Yoh want a significant increase if offering one more game a week.

Thats how you try and compete with R360.

  • Hayden Buchanan for centre, Reuben Garrick or Murray for wing, Keaon for Prop

    • Buchanan? Where did his name come from?

  • I wouldn't hold your breath Arnie.

    • No im not i think we struggle next year unless we get at least one big forward like Koloamatangi and couple of backs

We lost to many players to go well next year

  • no big name, we will get a poormans player or promote a junior

    • We may get Kolaamantangi, but we will pay big overs for him and Pou is right, it may prove good value in the inflationary effect being created.

Just remember he wants to play in a premiership winning side, he may with his manager be now reviewing that situation after losing Lomax.....I know I am!

      • Of course it will Poppa. A prop like Tino is valued at $900k but with new tv deal could be valued at $1.3mil. Like back in the early 2010's, signing a player for $500k was considered massive money. Now it is for regular first graders.

$900k is a lot for 2027 but after new tv deal it's about right value.

  • We need to sign 3 or 4 players. Two experienced forwards, ideally one of those plays on the edge.
desperate for two outside backs and ideally one of them can cover five-eighth.

We've heard at length about our linking with NAS, Keaon and Garrick.

They all make our best 17.

So we aren't far off our top 30.

Lorenzo, Latu, JFI, and Apa in the development deal list.

I think we will keep our powder dry with a third string Dummy Half.

    • We were also linked to Fermor and I'd love to see us grab Averillo

You're right there's a huge difference. I actually think RCG was on more than $650K; which strengthens your argument.
