What were you doing on this day, precisely nine years ago?

It's nine years exactly since one of our most famous victories. Beating the Dragons that day, and the way we finished off that game through Hayne's solo try was truly special. What do you remember doing that day? I honestly don't remember what I was doing. It was so long ago. I remember it being a hot day and probably just waited around not doing anything until kickoff.

I have a link of the match report for anyone interested in revisiting that special occasion. http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2009-09-13/eels-shock-dragons-in-finals-boilover/1427560

    • That field goal was so good. From 40m out. I didn't know Burt could do that.

    • I was at the Tigers game as well. Probably one of the best quality games I've seen live. That flick pass from Marshall to completely bamboozle Joel Reddy was awesome to watch. Hayne and Marshall head to head at their peak. You just don't get that amymore
  • At a mate's place. Sitting next to a Dragon's supporter. Considering the result a week earlier I had very low expectations. It was such an amazing game for us. Truly one of the wins of the club's history. Hayne was a God that day!!

    • x 1 very low expectations so I started drinking early to numb the pain. Had a BBQ at my bro in laws place with two dragon supporters well by the time the game started I was blind as a bat. But what a fcuking game I gave it those dragons supporters all game geez they were pissed off LOL

    • I remember being nervous but I knew it would be much closer. I knew we had a chance.

  • What i normally do on weekends.
    Drinking beer.
I also watched the Eels in a semi. This was not normal.
  • I was at Kograh with two other eels mates cutting fucking sick!! One of the best live games I’ve gone to for atmosphere and result
  • I was at kogarah in 36 degree heat sweating my Ying yang, no one gave us a chance and based on the previous week who would’ve thought. Wow one of the best moments
  • I remember standing on a table at the rose and crown cheering eric senior all the way to the try line when he intercepted sowards pass.
    • Junior not senior. What a knob head i am.
