What we need.

Firstly a new recruitment and retention team. The clowns currently running the show have no idea. We desperately need a centre or two and prop that can eat some metres.

    • Just hoping the imbeciles running the club get the message. We may need to repeat the message a few times for these clowns to work out there is a problem.

  • Yeah I think that is pretty accepted across the site. We need a top quality middle, a Centre and a Winger.

Many have said Jenkins, Tago and a middle is good business.

  • We also need a Bex & a goodlie down

  •  Chances are we will need a new coach for '27.

    • Well Paul Kent brought up Melbourne could go for Ryles for 2027. Imagine if they went for him though.

      • Double edged sword following on from Bellamy. At least at the Eels if Ryles doesn't turn things around he can say "well, no coach can fix that joint". Going to the Storm whilst they're on the slide could be career suicide.

        • The reason Ryles was mentioned was Melbourne might want someone who has been in the system already and knows most of the players. Craig wants his son Aaron to take over i believe. Nepotism at it's finest. But they have some names there.

          Ryan Hinchcliffe

          Marc Bretnall

          Todd Lowrie

My question is, for argument sakes, let's say Melbourne want Ryles and offer him the gig. He wants to take it. Where do we go from there? I mean he wont take it but do you throw a kings ransom at Cleary? Do you take another Melbourne assistant in a trade?

If he did go, bloke would be hated more than Stuart. At least Ricky did have family as a reason of some sorts to leave.

          • There's only one name we would consider. The greatest coach, our national coach.

Come on down Kevvie Walters. He'll make Kearney look like Wayne Bennett.

But for real - it would be a disaster if Ryles left soon. The coaching cupboard is very bare right now with all the next-gen coaches in established gigs and the older ones getting ready for retirement.

I hope the nepotism works for Bellamy and his son takes the gig.

          • I reckon Brentnall will take over. He's been at the club pretty much his whole adult life and been a key part of multiple premierships.

            • I still think Aaron Bellamy is a chance as the club love Craig, they will take his opinion.
