What's For Dinner Tonight?

Inspired by Snakes blog, I was curious to know what you guys eat for dinner each night. I thought it would be interesting to post your dinner menu each night to give each other ideas, and hopefully highlight healthy eating, unhealthy eating and everything in between. Perhaps we could share recipes lol.

We eat a large variety of foods and dishes from super healthy to unusual through to "comfort food"

My father is from Palermo Sicily and my mother is from Catania Calabria. My wife's parents are from Kalamata Greece, my sister is married to a Lebanese chap, my brother is married to a Serbian lady.

Throughout the years, many a recipe has been shared and cross bred.

My family makes home made tomato sauce, home grown vegetables, home made wine, vinegar, olives, sun dried tomatoes, pickled artichokes, bread, pizza's, Salami's, pork sausages, we have family members with fishing trawlers who barter fresh fish for fresh vegetables.

Share your dinner menu, post a photo. Below is live shot of tonights dinner, pan fried chicken tenderloin chicken with low fat cream, mustard, mushrooms, Zucchini, bacon served on boiled rice. Boiled fresh corn cobs on the side. Simple but tasty. We don't have a name for it, we just like it.

Tomorrow we have stuffed Sicilian Artichoke on the menu.

You put up photos like that as if to tease us and then nothing.
Next time you post something like this be sure to extend us some common courtesy!!

As for dinner, had spaghetti tonight at my sister in laws. Yesterday we had roast pork, roast potatoes, white rice with veggies.
Can't remember Tuesday. Tomorrow who knows whatever the kitchen hand feels like cooking I guess.
    • Hey Frank, on the cards mate, can your sister in law cook? mine is a horror story, her spaghetti sauce gives me instant heart burn. I take a box of double strength Mylanta with me. I eat two tablets before and after any of her meals.

  • Looks great joe, a lot better than my pumpkin soup and toast lol

You sound like a bit of a Bernard King.

Anybody remember the Peter Russell Clark show? Great show, as a kid i watched that show for years to watch them catch a shark but it never happened.

Out of memory the theme song had the words

come and get it, come and get it

with food you love to eat

Come and get it come and get it

    hes Australias biggest treat

Catch a shark or make a damper

feed your eagle, pack a hamper

On a farm or out at sea

    Heres a recipe or three

    Come and get it

    With Peter Russell Clark.

"Cheers LB. I just can't go past him, the only 5/8 on that list to play for Australia and multiple times, back in the 2000's he was one of our best players, i'd say he could even be second to the great Brett Kenny for us."

Ok so going through these rapid fire, particularly this one as this i reckon would be 100% for one player. I did some Halfbacks to make it respectful but not many to choose from.Dylan Brown won the vote at 6.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HGCBD291.…
