Fox Sports has done a fictional piece on what player each NRL club would have to release if they wanted a fair trade for Zac Lomax.
It's probably a good assessment of our current player roster than it is anything else.
The Storm are probably the favourites to land Lomax if the Eels are willing to do a deal in time, but foxsports.com.au have taken a look at what every NRL club could offer the Eels in a realistic player swap where it would be a win-win for all sides involved

Agreed. he would solve our looming (from 2027) halves conundrum. People don't like him because he's a merkin, but that merkin can play.
I'd have no issues with Burton. I have an issue of Lomax with the Dogs.
Brimson I don't mind actually. He's a risk but could be a nice piece at 6 in 2027.

I know some are laughable.
A good young player that will add value to our football program over time is ok, I reckon.
Someone like Mariner or T'oa and another decent youngster in an identified position (e.g. #6) would probably be acceptable.
