With all this talk of the big player divide and dramas continuing to surface, im just dont know what side will run out. Will dessy get them working under that seige mentality? Or will they come out of the gates hard but drop off when things dont go their way.

I just hope that jake is not booed and the fans get behind him, like it or not, he looks like the next man up within the club, last thing he needs is his fans displaying negative support for him when he needs everyone to get behind him and the club. The rest of the spine certainly need to step up and give jake the support he will need.

It's basically a huge motivation tool for Des and Manly. Wouldn't be surprised if the Eels cop another flogging. Super Dope doesn't have any idea. The only way for Jake to shut up all the critics including me is to have an outstanding game and get man of the match.
I don't think Jake needs a MOM performance he just needs to do a solid job and let the highly paid "superstars" get the job done.
If you have a presentation to a client at work you don't let the shitty paid junior assistant do all the work, you get the experienced senior and well paid guys to do the hard and important stuff.
There is no need to complicate Jakob's role.

But Jase, if you want this all to be on Dylan, give him the reigns, let him call the shots & give him a chance - put him at halfback & give him some support by adding Gutho or Perham to 5/8, someone with attacking upside who can keep defensive lines guessing.
We cant heap all the pressure on Dyl while we have someone else calling the plays & telegraphing every attacking set 20m before the defensive line.
Manly can basically put all their defensive focus into Dyl & Gutho for this game, while they have DCE & Foran, very experienced players at every level of the game.
Dyl needs to step up no doubt, but its a little unfair expecting miracles when he is going to have to do this alone.
NOS I agree with what you are saying to a degree.
I guess what I mean is that Dylan gets to take a back-seat and let's Mitch run the show but with no Moses he will need to take the senior role in the halves.
It's a great test to see where he is at in not only a skill level but a tactical and mental level.
I watched the Dylan Brown interview on fox and he seems like a tremendous young man that only started playing at 13 and the eels picked up at 15.
I want him to show that he is more than just a good player.
He needs to run a bit and put Lane and Gutho in the game.
Fair points, Jase. Especially around Dylan's mental level. It's definitely a good challenge for him, just not convinced we are giving him the correct support.
Tad - those two, especially DCE, could tear us apart. Very smart player obviously & as you said, they'd have done their homework on how to nullify DB & Gutho.
