What ever happened to Shaun Fensom?

He was a work horse that would make like 50 tackles a game and the occasional offload. A very decent lock. Seems to be out of favour at the Raiders, but not off contract until the end of 2017. If the Raiders paid a part of his contract to release him early, do you think he'd be worth picking up? I think he'd be great value and would be surely frustrated and looking for another opportunity.

  • Nah, we already have a lot of back rowers... The one I would take is Paul Vaughn
    • amen

  • Very similar to Beau Scott, great in defence but has nothing in attack. Beau is the player we need at this current time though, he's much more competitive.

  • His attack not 1st grade standard.
  • Vaughan please
    • Not a bad player, but he is not in the top 4 props at Canberra...
    • Which is crazy considering how well he was playing. I reckon he'd blossom with a fresh start.
  • If we get him cheap I say yes

  • Why would we take Fensom when we have four players who qualify as legit starting back-towers (Scott, Ma'u, Tep and Edwards) and two others who have been used extensively as backup backrowers (Terepo, Gower)? We appear to need much more help at prop, hooker, halfback and backup centre.
  • This was discussed recently in another blog.  Fensom is a great defender but lacks attack and is really a lesser clone of Scott.  We only need one Scott in the pack.
