Hayne has left for 12 months.
He has stated in an interview that for the next 12 months the Parramatta club will be paying 750k for players not at the club and that marquee signings are 12 months away.
Now that Hayne has gone from the game, when he comes back, Dave Smith has said that he will be given a marquee status allowance.
This means that the eels can potentially sign the current and wanted players PLUS Hayne on an allowance. Folau will be here and Jarryd will cost us bugger all.
THIS is the only way a team with capability could potentially have Folau and Hayne playing together with a decent squad.
Hayne relayed his dissatisfaction of the current circumstances at the eels and the position he found himself in.
Smart move and timely move for Hayne and the eels.
When he comes back, which he will, he will be costing us very little.
The NRL needs the western teams to be successful. My prediction is that within the next 3 years or so, we will see the Wiff or the Eels win a premiership.
They have too.
This means when Hayne comes back, he will cost the eels bugger all which opens massive opportunities all round.
