With news/rumours getting around that we are re a chance of getting Spencer and best early (maybe next year), through in luai and what do we all think? I think that is a much stronger side and gee buzz, stay lucky injury wise we could have a team in there?

Anything is possible. If we get Leniu and Best into this squad and our juniors are a year older, who knows what could happen. We could do a Newcastle or be average. Nobody knows. Only thing the club can do is try and get better players. Leniu and Best are better than what we have. Doesn't mean it works out but it is a start.
Come 2028, if Best signs and he arrives. By then Iongi, Da Silva, Brown are all a year older. Hopefully 20+ games more experienced. Then the likes of Talagi, Petrus, Koina, Funa and others may have a few games under their belt too. That all helps, particularly with depth.
Throw blaize in as well maybe, well maybe 28 now he misses alot of footy for now.
Well Blaize could be back between rounds 8-14 or so. He is worth the risk? Well depends on our injuries at the time.
Leniu is done, outside backs are a huge concern. We don't have a backup fullback with Papalii's impending departure but Jaylen De Groot is being targeted to replace him

De Groot is an ok option only because he can play all back 5 spots and has 27 NRL games. Thats it.

How many more years can Moses hold or improve the level of his game is the question I'm asking.
Id suggest the quickest way is to add talents like Luai to take pressure and eyes of the opposition off him.
If you continue to have a look at the Parra side going foward and there isn't a serious infusion of back 5 and middle talent it looks the same old imo just adding workers.We talk Newcastle and alike but look at the talent these guys have onboard herein lies the difference we just don't have that sought of talent or athleticism until that changes as mentioned same old.
I mean you take JAC out of that back 5 there goes our pace and if we are to rely on Penisini Kelly Simonsson Samrani types no disrespect to those guys but there not frightening opponents.
Yep, with the pace of the game the back five are becoming way more important. Every team who's a threat has got an amazing back line, with athleticism and power. I don't rate Penrith's backs as a unit at the same level as the Dolphins, Roosters or Newcastle. They were dominated by the Newcastle backs with 12 men in wet weather. Time to seriously overhaul our backs. Not spending nearly enough.
Co pare our roster to the sides in the finals and gee it is depressing. Actually it’s outright criminal that we are spending the same amount of money and this is all we can muster together.
We have to spend the same money. I am not excusing the roster, but by NRL rules we have to spend the same money or close to it.
