What coaches would hold their own in a fight

I saw a comment today about Ryles fighting Madge and thought to myself, out of the current 17 NRL coaches, who is the alpha of that group. All of course mostly being former professional footballers would hold their own against most people but some would be harder than others.

Imagine on GF day, move the NRLW to Saturday, have State Championship and save money on the GF entertainment, forget the sprint race. Get an octogon or a ring into Accor Stadium, have the 15 coaches not there on GF day have a free fall and see who is left standing. Or have the 9 coaches who missed finals.

As for our own, I believe Ryles would very much so hold his own against the other 16 coaches. 17 if you include Mal. He did have an altercation with a Dragons fan after a game once where i believe he decked him. But Ryles now is massive still. Ricky i reckon would be that Wolverine type, fast punching and aggression, just relentless. Not sure how Wayne would go to be fair, could be snapped in half looking like a twig. Ryles and Woolf would be the two biggest coaches in the game for sure, behind them slightly is Payten.

I know this is a dumb blog, it is officially off-season and nearly Cricket season, let's have a bit of fun here instead of the constant berading of one another and come together for a dumb blog of what if and discuss.

  • It's that time of the year again, I haven't been this excited for next season since the 80's so this is gonna be a really long off season!

I think Wayne Bennet is the first to go in this Royal Rumble, he'll be thrown out of the ring in 27 pieces, Ricky doesn't have much anymore, he'll be running around yapping at everyone's heels like a poodle on steroids till someone like Fitzy squashes his annoying little head, the newer boys like Ryles, Fitzy, Cirro & Hannay will probably be left to fight it out after guys like Siebold threw themselves out. Robbo would be in the middle of the ring with the pipe & slippers trying to tell the rest of them their acting immature before Ryles rips his head off & uses it as a bowling ball.

Not sure who is last man standing but it would be fun to watch!

  • I'll play ...

Skeletor is 75 plus. Sure he'd probably get a few in but any of the other coaches would kill him.

Unless one of them is a secret black belt in a martial art, Ryles or Payton would be favourite to win, I reckon.

    5/2 Ryles, Payton

    7/2 Fitzgibbon

    5/1 Ciraldo, Meninga

    7/1 Hannay, Marshall

    10/1 Webster, Stuart

    12/1 Maguire

    15/1 Woolfe

    20/1 Cleary

    25/1 Flanagan, Robinson

    33/1 Holbrook, O'Brien

    50/1 Bellamy, Hasler

    100/1 Bennett

  • The race would be on to obtain one of Wanye Bennett's Femurs...it shouldn't be too hard to just tear it out of the middle of his leg.

If Ryles can get ahold of a Bennettt femur he will biblically smite them all
