As it Straya day and much meat cooking is taking place,I'd like to hear from people on what way do you prefer your meat cooked. As a Greek wog,we prefer our meat brown all the way through. We can't take our parents and older relatives to restaurants as they would vomit all over the table if they cut into their meat and found any pink in it at all. While eating Keto this past year or so,I've cooked my meat in the oven or fried it.When frying,no matter how long I leave it cooking, even to the charcoal stage, when I slice it it is still pink.I can eat it,but the gorge is constantly on the point of rising .
That is until tonight.I have finally fried some steak to my idea of perfection,a nice crispy skin, with soft brown flesh on the inside with absolutely no revolting pink bits anywhere!
How do you all prefer your meat and any tips on cooking steak?
P.S If you are vegan or vegetarian,my sympathies to you. Please don't comment.

Tom I cannot allow my husband to eat any steak out or we will wait an hour for our meal while it's " well done"and the children are ready to eat the fake plants in the restaurant .

Sounds like me.
Well you all need to go to restaurant forty minutes before and let the girls get their bubbles
I prefer cooked meat over raw meat. I hear Al Hunt is a huge raw meat man!
Al's a massive tube steak fan Pats. Loves a bit of pork sword as well.
I myself prefer bearded clam.
That is the reason god gave us teeth and mankind invented toothpaste and the toothbrush .So we wouldn't have to eat uncooked flesh.Greeks use copious amounts of lemon juice over cooked meat.It helps to breakdown any but the most overcooked meat.
Exactly right Capt, its all about the blood and juices.
I love my meat - Pork, Steak and Lamb. Chicken too but to be honest that's my least favourite.
My favourite is Pork. Either Neck, Belly or Ribs.
I love a BBQ but with Pork its best done in the oven. Crackling and it mustn't be too dry. Overcooked Pork can look and taste like cardboard.
Love my Steaks BBQ'd but it must be med/well - too much blood turns me off. Love the Portuguese Skewers (Spitada) made with rump. Funnily enough I don't mind that a little bloody. The meat marinated with only rock salt plus some Porko home made bread - that's as close as it gets to heaven.
I hate the now trendy description "pulled " meat. That sort of talk should be kept for a man's private time in his Masturbatorium.
